Introducing the GEN5X2, our most rugged, compact, and powerful, onboard marine battery charger we have ever made. The GEN5X2 is designed to charge and maintain up to two (2) 12-volt lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries, including flooded, gel, AGM, and deep-cycle batteries. The 2 bank battery tender was purchased for my boat which has 2 batteries. The unit came packaged nicely and the instructions and ease of installation were super simple. The unit is somewhat heavy or dense as it is not large but has some weight to it. I installed it to the 2 batteries within about 15 minutes and programmed it for the right battery type without having to read the instructions as their video showing how to set it up was perfect. It shows the battery condition status which is nice as a confidence builder for a boater. Mounting the unit is pretty easy but having a helping had is useful as holding the unit while trying to mark, drill and screw in the fasteners I found really could use a second person to hold the unit while you install it. But, that is a small inconvenience and was very pleased with the length of cables and power cord for the unit. It was made of high quality materials and the unit was in perfect shape when unboxed. In todays world of shipping, it is nice to see robust packaging practices to assure the customer gets the product in pristine condition. Good job NOCO.

Easy to install, space was tight so I use velcro (not included) to attach it to the fuel tank. Wires are plenty long enough to reach both batteries. Didn’t take long to fully charge them. Makes it very convenient to charge both batteries with a single extension cord and don’t need to worry about overcharging.

Needed replacement charger and was skeptical about buying the cheap unit. This is one instance that cheaper price does not equal cheap quality. Great unit and well made. Charger works well and like advertised. My boat has 3 batteries but I bought a 2 bank model. Made a jumper wire to connect one of the 2 batteries connected to the charger to my starting battery when I have boat parked. Didn't want my outboard charging trolling motor batteries when running so I take jumper off while using. Charger charges all three and shuts off.

This works great. Fast, easy set up. Minor complaint… the battery cable wires need to be 12-15” longer. Installing in a full size truck with dual batteries, one on each side of engine compartment, is a struggle. Longer wires would have made for easier installation. The body of the charger is well made and heavy. Set up took minutes and it works flawlessly…no more worries about battery drain when I don’t drive the truck enough.

Simple to use
Simple but effective packaging made it easy to put to use right out of the box. Easy even for an old goat like me to follow. This is the third charger i have purchased but the only one that has actually worked. Great product and thanks again.

Very High Quality
Fitted this in my boat, (as it has 2 batteries). It's an extremely high quality product that keeps the batteries in tip top shape via the mains. I'll be hooking it up to a solar panel next, so I'll update here when I know the results.
