This is the real deal! This lard is actually the best grade I have found since I was buying from a slaughter house in Arthur, IL. Best flavor. And for those who are not aware, it's the best fat for your body above ALL other cooking fats! The fats in lard is excellent and the correct vital fats that your body needs! I highly recommend this lard to anyone, hands down! I grew up on a farm, and my family, due to using lard, were healthier than most city people anywhere. Ask country folks, and they'll tell you!

I continue to buy this lard for BBQing and also for making carnitas! I always have one of these and the Wagyu Beef Tallow on hand. They add great flavor, moisture, and texture to anything you are cooking. I would highly recommend this for other BBQers.

Yes, it is. This is high quality and pure. Makes a great pie crust! Using it for frying although I am using it sparingly because it is so expensive. Can’t wait for inflation to go down so it’s cheaper.

Purchased for soap making and cooking.. stronger smell than I expected. It smells very “meaty”. I make my own tallow and stocks, and even bacon fat.. it’s never thus strong a smell. Not sure how it will cook off for soap, getting ready to give it a go. Texture wise, it will be fine. I see it will be fine for cooking with as well.

I think most people who are buying lard and tallow are a little more health consensus than the average customer. This makes me ask why it comes in plastic container and not metal.I ended up buying a metat grease pan, and it had a strainer so you can pour the used lard back into it. This was a common practice with the old Crisco tins but since everything has gone to plastic you can't do that anymore.The taste and smell of this lard is mild and I it can be used for baking and cooking.
