My hairdresser recommended this over the Redken purple shampoo and it did a better job at removing the brassiness from my hair. I have hard water (even with a softener) and my hair goes brassy not too long after coloring. I used this once a week and brought it back to salon coloring. Scent is nice as well.

I have dark blonde root smudge with a lot of very light cool/ashy highlights and ends. I battle brassiness where the highlights blend into the root smudge more than even the lightest parts. I have tried numerous purple shampoos and products and this is one of 2 that actually work on my hair. I like that it is a shampoo and conditioner and actually seems to be good for hair since it's sulfate and paraben free and has the amino acids. It doesn't stain my hands or nails but still works in my hair. I don't notice much of a smell. My hair is very fine so I always worry my shampoos and conditioners are going to not cleanse the build up and/or leave my hair with buildup so it's heavy and weighed down. This cleansed really nicely and the conditioner left my hair soft and light weight. The listing says shampoo and conditioner set with sleek mirror. I don't know what that is as all I got was the two bottles - not even in the box in the picture. I looked to see if sleek mirror was supposed to be a marketing term for the product but it's no where on the bottles so just not sure.

You have to use a lot of products to get even a small lather to wash hair. The conditioner doesn’t condition well @ all. Hard to run hands thru when washing or rinsing products out of hair. Leaves hair very dry & brittle. Products do keep hair color looking beautiful. So it’s a catch 22 type of scenario. I have fine hair but a lot of hair if that helps.

I am new to highlights so I was not using a purple shampoo and conditioner to help protect the color. This set helped bring back my vibrant highlights and reduced some of my damaged strands.
