I make oatmeal in this thermos while I'm commuting by bike to work. An hour later the oats are well cooked and super hot. They are still more than warm if work distracts and I don't get to them until after lunch.The unit is well made. I appreciate the lid almost makes a full revolution before the seal on the lid contacts it seat in the jar. I think this is much more secure than another unit I tried that barely made a 1/4 turn and thereby engages less threads.I do wish the opening was maybe 1/4" wider. Even a small handed person like myself has to stick some implement down into the jar to clean it. It's not really a problem though. It's still the best thermos I've had in ages.

Excellent product. I put very hot soup in the thermos at 6 AM and at 6 PM though it wasn't extremely hot It was very warm and I was extremely impressed! I know they guarantee nine hours of it being hot but after 12 hours, and it was extremely warm, I am exceptionally pleased!
