(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } I love my stand mixer and all of the attachments I've gotten from Kitchenaid, so I thought I would give this grinder a try. I have two Capresso grinders that make a mess on the counter, spewing grounds all over and the static is ridiculous, which compounds the issue. The design of the Kitchenaid is perfect, easy to operate, fairly quiet (for a grinder), the capture container has a tight fit so no renagade grounds. Set the machine to match your preferance, and it's a one button push to grind the coffee. The bean hopper removes, so no more draging the machine to the edge of the counter to add beans.I have had this for a week and can find no negative aspects for my uses. As a bonus, it fits the portafilter for our espresso machine. This is just a really nice grinder, and the quality that I expect from Kitchenaid.
5.0 out of 5 stars Empire Red beauty. quiet, clean, nice grind, fair price when on sale.
Review based on short term use -- No messy grinds, relatively quiet, fast, easy to use, consistent grind quality and quantity, nice looking, build quality seems solid. I use it with a Bonavita coffee maker and use a low number setting in the DRIP range with excellent results. This is a winner. Recommended. Price? Periodically has a price reduction to one-thirty-nine.Grind settings are from 1-70. The ESPRESSO setting gives a powdery grind. DRIP settings are like fine sand. One possible drawback for French press users is that the coarse setting might not be coarse enough. The owner manual shows how to make micro-adjustments in the grind settings using an internal adjustment but I haven't tried that.

Your journey for a quiet and reliable grinder is over - learn from my mistakes! This one now sits next to my Moccamaster and completes my mornings (and mid mornings and afternoons and sometimes right after dinner...).Previously had a blade grinder in my poor and single days - super noisy, but did an ok job.Next grinder, just wanted something better but not crazy expensive - it was one of these fake company burr grinders (if you notice, there are like 20 different companies all selling the same grinder, each with a different weird name on it). It was quieter than the blade grinder, worked decently, but I made the mistake of trying to clean it one day and didn't notice a very important, and apparently not replaceable part, fall out never to be seen, rendering that mediocre grinder inoperable. My second mistake was thinking that I'd have a similar ok experience with yet another no-name burr grinder - this one was a complete disaster - grinder would get stuck trying to grind beans every time, so dosing was completely random, and it made a mess. Sent it back right away. Finally - buy nice or buy twice - here I was looking to be done with buying grinders for a while. Read reviews, and everyone seemed to recommend obscenely expensive grinders, with a few exceptions that always had some deal-breaker (noisy, or made a mess, or inconsistent, etc).Saw this Kitchenaid out of the corner of my eye, and remembered that our stand mixer has been a staple in multiple kitchens for like 30yrs now. So I decided to take a leap of faith after reading mostly positive reviews.Man, this thing it great! SUPER QUIET - almost pleasant to listen to - like a healthy-sounding V8 instead of a 4-banger with a CVT. The method to select grind size and dosing is great and simple. One button to go first thing in the morning with no fuss, no mess, and then great results - a great cup of coffee every time. Can't complain at all... Being from MI originally, I love that this was perhaps designed locally, so this burr grinder gets a double-thumbs up from this guy...
5.0 out of 5 stars Love this! Quiet, consistent, good coffee, and looks nice!
I watched a bunch of grinder reviews before buying this. Most of them don't include this product, as it's lesser known and doesn't seem to be considered a serious contender among coffee aficionados. Common wisdom seems to be to go with the Baratza Encore at this price point, or maybe something from Breville, Felllow, or Varia. I'm glad I didn't.The big appeals for me here were looks, quiet operation, and automatic dosing. It's pretty quiet, quiet enough that it doesn't seem to bother my cat sleeping nearby in the morning. You can dial in a specific dose via grind time, and it will save it and gets it consistent enough that I don't have to weigh beans anymore, I just press the button and use it, and it's one in about 9 seconds. Plus, it looks pretty nice and has a small counter footprint.Visually, the grind quality appears to be a bit more consistent than my $60 Timemore hand grinder is, and it's FAR faster. The only real downside I can recall people mentioning was grind quality, but to me the grind quality is great, and even if a Baratza gives a more consistent particle size, ask yourself: are you really going to be able to tell the difference in coffee flavor between two different electrical conical burr grinders? Honestly? In a blind test, you think you could tell? Maybe so, but I certainly can't. This is a great pick.
5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Love this Grinder
I've had a few coffee grinders in my life, most far more bulkier and 10x louder than this one. This one is relatively compact, very quiet, and for drip/pourover coffee gives a great grind.I don't do espresso, so I won't comment on how appropriate this grinder might be for that. For straight drip or pourover however, it gives a very consistent grind with minimal fines and course. The time based doses are easy to set, and consistent.I'm not so focused on my coffee that I feel the need to weigh out each dose when making coffee. I enjoy good coffee, I prefer fresh ground beans, but I also value convenience. This grinder brings all of that to one simple appliance. Possibly the best feature of this, and I don't know how they do it, is there is next to no static. If you enjoy fresh ground coffee, but don't want to weigh each time, and want a consistent well ground does, I urge you to try this grinder. No complaints.
Excelente molino a buen precio.
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } Un molino muy facil de usar y que proporciona una molienda realmente profesional. Logre extraer excelentes espresos a la primera. Muy intuitivo y de excelente calidad de acabados y plasticos de alta calidad. Las muelas conicas son muy sileciosas y precisas. Muy recomendable para usar en el hogar.
Very quiet high quality grinder
I had a more expensive grinder that was very noisy. It failed prematurely. Despite the high cost I was going to replace it like for like. Then I noticed this grinder. It is every bit as full featured and now it is in my kitchen I can see it is also better looking. The receptacle for receiving the ground coffee is static free. The grinds all slide easily into the filter. I can still hear my radio while grinding. Grind size is fully adjustable with very fine increments. Grind time is adjustable to tenths of a second. The controls are easy to use and intuitive. There is a clear electronic display for grind size and time. This is a superbly designed quality item. I highly recommend.

Premium quality
I was going to get another Bodum grinder when my last one died after 8 yrs. Just before buying I noticed this one with all the high reviews. It was more but I decided to go for the change. This thing is premium, massive upgrade. I'm only doing french press.Pros- the digital fine tuning of grind settings- 1-70 ( you can fine tune how strong you want your coffee. I've only used it twice. I first tried a setting of 9 ( maybe perfect), then 7 - it was noticeably weaker- amazing., anti-static- all beans ground, no mess, very quiet- barely hear itHappy now. It's a beauty for what I need. The next test is how long it lasts.
Maravilloso
Muele muy bien el café
