5.0 out of 5 stars Almost perfect for Gym. Just wish it had pass through.
I needed a pair of wingtip in ear earbuds for the gym that wouldn’t fall out. I can’t really use the hook kind because I wear glasses. These fit perfect in my small ears with the smallest tips. They also have physical buttons so I don’t accidentally touch it when wiping sweat. Battery life is really good and the price can’t be beat. Sound is good but I’m not an audiophile. It usually blocks out most noise just with the seal.I only wish they had an option with noise canceling just for the pass through capability so I don’t have to take them out when I talk to someone. If they made a premium version I would buy them in an instant.Worth checking out if you want a solid pair of in ear gym headphones.
5.0 out of 5 stars Cheap yet completely waterproof with physical push buttons!
My last pair of waterproof earbuds had touch sensitive buttons which would pause or mess up the volume whenever water would hit the earbud in the shower and also were very uncomfortable. These thankfully are made by a decent brand and while they aren't very comfortable I didn't find it hard to adjust to using them for a couple hours at a time and the sound quality is pretty good especially for the price. Pleasantly surprised.Only real gripe is the settings for the buttons are dumb with no default to skip or rewind song but it can be changed in the app... except it randomly forgets the settings and goes back to increasing the volume with double push instead of skipping the song.
4.0 out of 5 stars Worth the price, but not more
I bought these because I needed a cheap set of earbuds for the gym, and they were on sale.As the posted photos from everyone else show, they are small. They come with tips and wings to find the right placement for your ears. While the comfort of them is good, one of them sets in my ear well, and the other not so much. That is a first for earbuds - and I have brought a lot. I must. wiggle one around to sit properly while the other sits fine.My main problem with them is their connectivity. One will connect while the other may not. I always carry around the case physically just in case one will not connect. The only way to get it to work again is to pop it back in the case, move it around, and wait for the light to come on and then place it in my ear.I have also had times where I have to turn off my Bluetooth on my phone because the case was moving around in my bag, when I place it back in my locker, or car, and it becomes the main lock to the Bluetooth. This has happened WAY TOO MANY TIMES. Sometimes they will be tossed around in my bag, I have turned off my Bluetooth so it will not reconnect, and they will wear down the battery. I put them into my ears and I hear medium or low battery.Overall, I like them. They work well. The tactical buttons for sound up and down work well. The sound could be a bit better, but at this price point, they are okay. I thought they would give me a smidgen of noise cancelling since I am shoving them in my ears, but no. Overall, I give them a 3.5/5.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good for workouts
This review is for the Soundcore Life A1 true wireless earbuds. I’ve had them for one year.I bought these for working out. They are loud enough and the IPX7 rating means I can sweat all over them without worry. For a single workout (1 hr), the battery is plenty long, and keeping them in the case means they are always charged and ready.I have no issues connecting them to an iPhone. I paired them once a year ago, and they’ve connected immediately every time. They have never dropped connection that I remember. It’s quick to pop them in my ears and start a workout. There is a physical button on each earbud to control audio. I appreciate the physical button with a tactile click. I mainly use pause/play (double press the right earbud), volume down (one press on left earbud), and volume up (one less on right earbud). These work fine, but you do need to pause between presses for vol up/down so it takes time to make large changes in volume. One of the flaws of the buttons is you have to remember what the single press, double press, triple press(?), and press/hold(?) patterns are. So there are times I might want to use the other controls but I forget what the button pattern is. Not a big problem though since I can use my phone controls instead for those less used controls. The sound quality is fine. It’s worse than a decent pair of over the ear headphones, but better than a cheap pair of earbuds. They are loud enough to hear over other noise, like a rowing machine, a TV, or kitchen/cooking noise. They do not have noise cancellation so I’m not sure why the Bolo suggests that as a category to rate. They are not great at isolating noise otherwise. They come with different sizes of ear bud tips and wing tips to match your ear size for a secure fit that will mute a bit of external noise. Generally, if no sound is playing I can easily hear someone talking in the same room. If I have sound playing, I typically can’t hear them.I paid $40 USD which is a decent value. They have been reliable. They have good battery life and a strong IPX7 waterproof rating that is a little hard to find at this price point.
Altamente recomendables!
So worth the price...to me at least!
So, I've had these buds for about 7 months now. I primarily wear them to bed so I can watch YouTube without waking my wife up. Now, I do have a couple of complaints but I have much more praising to do.Let's get the Cons outta the way.Cons: - Build Quality It's a surprise to no one that the main area they cut costs on these was the build quality. The plastics (while solid) aren't super premium feeling. Personally, the silicon for the buttons fell off the earbuds about 5 months in. The wingtips feel more like a thing to look cool than functionally holding the buds in better. - No App Support They don't connect to the sound core app. That means fewer features overall (things like find my buds and audio passthrough) and less customization. Overall, not a big deal but still a downside. - Slightly Chunky Case The case is a little bit bigger than I hoped. The shape of it doesn't fit too well in the pocket of my jeans, but at least it fits. The chunky size also helps it have better battery life. And that's about all the Cons. Now the Pros:Pros: - Sound Quality For the price, the sound that these can pump out is surprisingly clear and balanced. I'm no audiophile, but I like how they sound quite a bit. It's not gonna match the $350 Sony buds, but it's good. Volume is also surprisingly good. Can get quite quiet while also being able to get nice and loud while in noisy environments. - Battery Life This is the main reason I love these so much. It advertises getting 9 hours of battery life out of a single bud, and while I found it wasn't quite that long, it was pretty darn close. I especially don't tend to turn the buds above about half volume and could normally pump about 8 - 8.5 hours out. The other thing is that the buds can be used individually. So once one dies, you swap it out for a fully charged one and get another 8 hours. Then by the time that one dies, you swap it back and the first one is fully charged again. The charging case also gets you about 2 full recharges on each bud which is pretty respectable. - Controls I previously used the Galaxy Buds+ and the biggest thing I hated about them is the stupid touch controls and how they never stayed disabled when I disabled them. While laying down, my ear or arm would touch the pad and boom volume up or skipped song. Horrid! The Soundcore have actual buttons that are clicky and hard to accidentally touch but are easy enough to hit that they don't shove the bud 3 inches into your ear. The clicks are all responsive and the number of button presses needed to do commands is just fine. (App support could have helped this but not a big deal) - Comfort So comfy in my ear holes. When I used the Jabra 65Ts, about 4 hours is all I could take before my ear REALLY started to hurt. (luckily that's how long the battery lasted so it worked out) The Soundcore, however, I've had them in my ears for the full 8-hour battery life and they never really hurt at all. This may be different cause everyone's ears are different, but I can't complain personally. - Charging Look, it may not be that important to some but the fact that I can charge these cheaper earbuds with the same cord I charge my phone with is amazing to me. Skullcandy, I'm looking at you. Type-C is just great and universal. And on top of that, they didn't have to, but they put wireless charging into the case. To top it off, both the case and buds themselves charge rather fast. No SUPERVOOK DASH SPEED CHARGING, but a respectable speed. So would I recommend these earbuds? Absolutely. If you can't drop $300+ on some fancy buds. Get these! Best bang for your buck I've found. Good battery. Good controls. Good sound.
