I freeze cubes of formula and put 4 in this at the beginning of the day. They'll stay frozen and keep there shape for the whole day, especially if I keep the container in the freezer or fridge overnight to pre-chill the metal.For ice water, the ice will stay frozen overnight into the next day in my night stand and the container doesn't sweat at all. It will keep ice for literal days if you stick it in the refrigerator.I've also used it for hot drinks once or twice and it performs well for this too but I bought this in summer specifically for keeping things cold. I like that it has a handle so I can hook it onto the side of my wheelchair or walker or even hold it with one finger while using crutches. I like the small size because it helps cut down on how much bulk I'm carrying. And the ability to wash with a dishwasher helps immensely with keeping on top of cleaning.

I bought this item because I had a Starbucks coffee flask that kept leaking when I transported it between home and work. I got this because I liked the carrying handle (although I was worried if it was cheaply made, it would break), and I liked the promise of the double walled insulated steel keeping my hot items hot for 12 hours. One thing that worried me was I couldn't find a picture of the inside of the lid. The lid of my Starbucks flask was very bulky and had little nooks that was pretty impossible for me to clean well, and being able to clean my cup lids thoroughly is really important to me. I was estatic to see that the GreenSteel lid is of a very simple, everything-accessible design. However, I think the bulkiness of that Starbucks lid is what helped to keep my coffee hot longer. This GreenSteel lid itself isnt insulated, so in my experience, especially when I leave the sip hole open, my coffee doesn't stay piping hot for 12 hours. Its the steel cup itself that does hold the heat (and cold) pretty well. So of you want to keep your coffee piping hot for hours, you may have to keep securing the sip hole (I haven't tried to see if that keeps it hot for hours, I just tend to drink my hot coffee within a couple of hours). The steel cup is surprisingly lightweight, so the 12oz is not cumbersome to carry around at all. I like this cup so much, I been using it to drink ice water with my meals (cover off), since it keeps the ice longer than regular cups. This is a well-made cup. No off tastes or odors. My only moment of slight dismay was when I filling my coffee very close to the top and screwing on the lid, it would spill over because its too full. So I just have to get used to not filling it up to the top, I have to leave 1 inch or slightly more od space due to how the lid is made to screw into the cup, where the threads go maybe an inch down the inside of the cup. However, I love how it seals great and again, love the handle and the simplicity of the lid which allows for thorough cleaning, but probably doesn't trap heat for tok many hours

Thank you Green Steel for a really nice travel cup it is well made & I like the design. The handle makes it easy to carry & the lid snaps shut so no spills (unless you forget to snap it shut)! It keeps my tea hot for quite a while too! I am very happy with my purchase. They have great customer service if you need to contact them as well!

This is my favorite coffee mug. Why? I work out daily, and I need an espresso (or double shot) to take when I'm heading out. It's short enough to fit in my Nespresso and De'Longhi expresso machines. The cover twists closed easily, and the lid secures tightly to keep things warm. I love the small handle because I’m usually carrying something, so I can hold it with just a finger or two.

Finding a great travel coffee mug is a constant challenge. I was really hoping that I had located a solution, but alas, it has failed the leak test miserably.The good:1. The mug is shorter than most with a larger diameter. They realized that increasing the diameter boosts the capacity dramatically (it's fun math if you are ever curious about the calculations). Even though it looks notably smaller, the volume is exactly the same as many of my much taller mugs!2. There is no rubber grip on the bottom. They realized that "sticky" bottom surfaces dramatically increase the tipping risk. And they are more difficult to clean and wear out over time. The metal-only base combined with the shorter, wider profile, likely makes this the most stable travel mug I have come across.3. The lid can be situated for full cleaning without disassembling.4. The rubber seal ring is designed to wedge between the lid and the mug rather than just a flat washer that sits on top. The design is good, and you can feel it engage as you tighten the lid.5. The handle was very well received by my wife, but locks firmly out of the way when not in use.6. The rubber oval that inserts into the sipping port is solid, not simply a hollow protrusion. It pushes in snugly, and looks like it will last well.It is evident that this mug was well designed (in the UK, I believe). Kudos to that team. Unfortunately, the manufacture of this mug was outsourced to our adversary, and, IMHO, that is where the failure entered. The material in the flap on the lid (and the lid in general) appear to have been minimized, and it compromises the entire product. The sealing of the lid depends heavily on the thickness of the flap and the rigidity of the hinge pivot point. Although the design is sound, no design can survive if the materials are compromised. In this case, the flap is too thin. It forms a weak point that simply will not last, which is very disappointing (and is kind of contrary to the green thing).In my case, I purchased two mugs. One lid is adequate for now. It has enough integrity to form a complete seal on the sipping port and the air vent hole. The second lid, however, is defective out of the package, which I would blame on the quality of the manufacturing outsource selected. The rubber plug attached to the flap for the vent hole is visibly malformed and has no hope of ever creating a proper seal.I will be contacting the manufacturer in hopes of resolving the situation, but I'm disappointed that there are not quality control measures in place that would make my additional effort unnecessary.Meanwhile, the perfect travel mug quest continues. This was so close!
My new favorite travel mug
It keeps my coffee warm for hours, is easy to fill, and clean (because large opening), it doesn't leak, and looks good. The handle is a nice plus (useful when my hands are full). And the coating (I chose the red one) looks good, and doesn't chip. I've put mine in the dishwasher without problem (but I never use the drying function). Great purchase!
Reliable and Versatile Travel Mug for Everyday Use

The handle makes it convenient to carry around, and the lid design ensures that it’s leak-proof.Room for Improvement: Honestly, I can't think of any significant improvements. The mug performs exceptionally well in all areas, from insulation to ease of use. It’s also reasonably priced, making it a great value for the quality it offers.In summary, the Greens Steel Reusable Coffee Cup is a reliable and versatile travel mug that I would recommend to anyone.
