5.0 out of 5 stars Blown Away! Best Dehydrated Breakfast!
I can't believe how good this is! This has to be the best dehydrated breakfast-type meal I've ever tried, hands down. I was totally blown away, and never expected it to be THAT good! Biscuits can be a bit crunchy, but breaking them up into small bits before adding water helps. Even still, I didn't find a little crunchy texture to be off-putting at all. This is an exceptionally tasty and hearty meal! 1k calories is plenty of fuel to get you and that pack up the trail! When I'm in the back-country, Peak Refuel Biscuits and Gravy is now a mandatory piece of kit! (Better bring a few of em!)
5.0 out of 5 stars Love these!
The Peak Refuel Biscuits and Gravy meal is a game-changer for outdoor adventures! The taste is phenomenal, with the biscuits perfectly fluffy and the gravy rich and savory. It's incredibly easy to prepare, just needing hot water, and in a few minutes, you have a hearty, delicious meal. The portion size is generous and provides the energy needed for a day of hiking or camping. It's clear that Peak Refuel focuses on quality ingredients, and it really shows in the flavor and texture. Highly recommended for anyone looking to elevate their outdoor meal experience!
5.0 out of 5 stars Delicious!
Taste like breakfast in the morning! Premium grade.
4.0 out of 5 stars Delicious, expensive and... crunchy?
Very tasty and a ton of calories, which is great after a full day out. Portion size was more than enough, maybe even sharable for the right people. Very expensive though and it's hard to justify the price tag on a regular basis. The biscuits don't soak up the water well either, leaving some pieces dry and crunchy. Which, honestly, wasn't too bad as it gave it a contrasting texture, but knowing that this shouldn't be, makes it even harder to justify the cost. Still, after a long day out this meal was great and tasty. Nice to have this option in a rotation, especially with the high calorie count in a single bag.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great meal
Taste was great and stomach was not upset. Looks like the biscuits are broken up now but you still may want to break them up more. You get some crunches but its still amazing
3.0 out of 5 stars 3 day trip and I can't ever eat another one of these ever again
They might be the best tasting freeze-dried food out there but after you eat them for 3 days you will regret it! The first bite is great but after awhile the same taste starts to build up and turns into a bad experience. You just don't understand it until you eat it for 3 days+ then you understand why these freeze dried packs are all bad. Instead bring anything else, like anything, else would be better. Like Pop tarts and rice would be better than this stuff. Having just 1 or 2 bags of this stuff is fine but don't expect to eat it for every meal, you just can't do it no mater what.
5.0 out of 5 stars Restaurant Quality
Simple.....break the biscuits, add a pinch of salt and pepper and WOW! These are amazing. I frequently overland and backpack and the only bad part is I tend to rob the cabinets and eat these before I ever leave. Definitely and great buy
5.0 out of 5 stars Move over Bob Evans, this stuff is outstanding!
Seriously, the flavor of this beats any biscuits & gravy I've ever had in a restaurant. It is fantastic! Only complaint, which is minor, is that the bigger biscuit chunks don't seem to hydrate well enough, they remain a touch dry and crunchy, but they're still very tasty, crunchy texture aside. That sausage gravy though, man oh man, YUMMM!Update: I noticed the package actually suggests breaking the biscuits up before preparing, and this helps. Peak is on top of things!
Passes the Country Boy from the South Test
I bought this to text meals for some hiking trips planned and I also wanted to try the biscuits and sausage gravy because I’ve missed seeming my fam back in South: was not disappointed. 5 stars.I moved to the Canadian Prairies from the south several years and one of the most difficult meals to find is biscuits and sausage gravy. I’ve been craving it since the pandemic because i’ve not been back home. This freeze-dried version passes the yummy yummy vibe check. Legit gave me a sense home and memories. I was skeptical at first but the first bite was phenomenal; it brought back memories of family brekkie at my grandmas. The taste is near the same; the texture of gravy was a thinner (but i added a splash too much of water). this is the legit best biscuits and gravy this southern boy has had in anywhere in Canada (besides when I make it from scratch).Y’all not only does the meal taste good; it’s high in protein.10/10 recommend for camping/hiking. Also, for a biscuits & sausage gravy fix when you don’t wanna go through the hassle at home.I added dollop of butter, pinch of red pepper flakes and a dash of pepper. (that’s how we did back home.)So, Buy it without hesitation. And thank you again Peak Refeul for good food and taste of nostalgia from home. 🫂🤗Only negative: The instructions are really difficult to read. The font needs to be bigger or a colour that contrasts better with outlining. If I were in my house i would have trouble reading.
Great meal
I've tried a ton of different freeze dried meals and this is by far the best I've ever had.
