I needed this this bc my laptop was getting overheated (I don’t know why laptops are manufactured with the vents at the bottom when laptops sit on a desk …). This was cheap, sturdy , easy to put together. Do note that many companies are selling the exact same thing, with varying prices. So just choose the cheaper one that ships via Prime.

I tested a variety of laptop stands, some foldable, some fixed, like this one. The Kyqee riser requires a minimal assembly and is not adjustable, but 1) it offers a nearly perfect inclination of the keyboard, 2) it is lightweight and sturdy, 3) very easy to position the laptop on, 4) it holds the laptop from sliding off, and the "hooks" do not interfere with palms resting on the bottom part of the laptop's keyboard. The design is essential, yet elegant, and the price is very affordable.

This turned out to be perfect for my needs as I use my laptop at a desk. Simple to assemble, just the right angle for typing and the pads hold the laptop easily. M happy.

Using this for a recording studio control surface (mixer) Behringer XTouch and extension. Best price for similar stands $25 to $45. Got these (2) for $26 total w/ free shipping on Prime. Attractive brushed aluminum and sturdy. The angle of the control surface is now perfect for me. Your mileage may vary.

I purchased the "KYQEE Laptop Riser for Desk, Laptop Stand..." for just about $11. The item came in a box with the 3 solid metal pieces that make the stand with several silicone grip pads on them so your computer doesnt slide off of it, the 4 necessary screws + 1 bonus screw (in case you misplaced one), and the Allen key for the provided screws.Stand is lightweight, and raises your laptop computer to a more comfortable viewing angle. This stand is ideal for desks, but you could use it on any flat surface, like a portable tray or lap desk. This stand does exactly what it the merchant advertises it to do, and does it well. With the price and the simplicity of this product, the stand deserves no less than 5-stars. cheers!

I have a 14“ gaming laptop that generates a ton of heat. If it's sitting on a desk, the top of the keyboard gets uncomfortably warm after a half hour. Since it's so small, I wasn't having much luck finding a cooling mat that wasn't way too big and I would rather not have something plugged into the usb port at all times anyway. I gave this a try thinking that if it didn't work for airflow, I could use it for ergonomics while working.It actually makes a huge difference in temperature, adjusts the keyboard to a much more comfortable angle, and holds the laptop well enough that when I put it away, it's still sitting on the stand on a shelf. When in use, the laptop doesn't shift around or feel unsteady. It was easy to assemble and seems pretty sturdy. The size is perfect for a 14“ laptop but would handle a larger one well too. Would absolutely recommend.
