I have ongoing knee issues (bone-on-bone patellofemoral arthritis, plus a new tibial plateau fracture ). I've tried several braces over the years and for me, this brace is the most comfortable and best fitting knee brace that I have found.Most braces put pressure directly on my patella which flares the arthritis pain, this one fits my kneecap just right without pushing it or putting pressure on it. It is a longer brace style that gives great structural support. The adjustable support bands give a custom fit all around. I don’t get the same gaps and bunches I have experienced with other braces and I don’t need to pull up a slipping brace all day. This one stays perfectly in place every single time. It is very supportive but flexible and allows me a good range of motion as my post-injury activity tolerance has increased. I’ve been using it for the past 3 weeks at work which includes a daily average of walking 3-4miles throughout our building. So far it has been a great quality and despite 3 weeks of all day use, shows no visual signs of wear. *****Updated - I wore this brace daily for 4 months and it still looks and preforms like it’s new! Nothing has worn out. Seriously, this is the best knee brace I’ve ever used.

I wanted to purchase another leg brace, as I only had a medical equipment kind for my right leg, I now needed one for my left. I have problems with my legs as they tend to weakened around the knee area. So when I came across this brand, it looks similar to the one I already have. So when I received it, the brace felt good against the leg and helped keep it straight.My only problem is, I ordered a large (as my other one is a small and I figured a Medium for this brace might be small) but it does get tight because the leg starts to swell a little bit after being on for some time. The brace tends to cause a little bit of an annoyance on my leg. I'm not sure if it's because of the knee opening is small or how long it's on my leg (which is usually all day).Otherwise, the metal bars on the sides move nicely, it bends like it should and can be comfortable. I would recommend this product if you're looking for knee or leg support.

I have at least 4 different types of knee braces, this is the only one that actually works!! I walk alot at the local swap meet, and I am forever feeling pain with my other 'braces' this one is so cormfotable you don't realize you are wearing it, but then you realize you also have no pain, zero knee pain!! Does this work? Absolutely 100% it does. And this is from a guy that normally doesn't write reviews.
3.0 out of 5 stars Easy to put on and comfortable to wear, but does not reduce torn medial meniscus tears .
You have two menisci per knee lateral and medial. Most tears occur in the medial meniscus. The objective is to enlarge the gap between the tibia and femur because the shock absorber between----the meniscus has torn. The solution is to apply pressure on the lateral side of the knee joint to increase the gap on the medial side where the tear has occurred. This is done with an unloader knee brace hinge that can be screwed in to apply lateral pressure on the medial meniscus. This decompression knee brace while admirable simply does not unload pressure on the medial meniscus. It is fantastically easy to adjust; it does not migrate down the leg and you certainly feel more secure. I am keeping it even though it does not allay medial meniscus pain.

Like many older and active people, I'm on the verge needing new knees. My last knee brace was similar to this, but much larger and bulkier. So I figured I'd try this one and I'm pretty happy with it. It hasn't gone through the wash or months of work like my last one did, but on the surface it appears to be perfect. Not big and bulky, but does the job. In fact, I ordered another one for the other knee.I measured my knees according to the chart, and I came in at the upper side of large. If your knees reach the max on large, go up to the next level. They're perfect for me, but if they were much smaller, I would have needed to go to the next size up.

TL;DR: Not for chondromalacia patella type of arthritisI bought two of these and wore three times (at length) before reviewing. The short story, is that I expected more, given the reviews, and unless you're wearing a compression sleeve underneath, this knee brace is not enough if you have chondromalacia patella (degradation of the knee cartilage, which I have on both knees). It's a good concept, but the black material this brace is made off is too soft to provide any stability. That's why the metal parts don't actually help, and if you read reviews, people point out that they these out and hurt/poke the skin. Yes, it's because the material is too soft and has too much give, so it can't sustain them in place properly. They seem to be decorative, and not functional.Someone also mentioned that the knee-hole is too small... It is BY NO MEANS as large as the one shown in the photo of the basketball player crouching. That is completely photoshopped. Misleading advertising. don't know if it's the stiff shape (the hole IS rigid because of the ring inside), but I also couldn't get it to sit right (mind you, I'm 5.7 and 140lbs, not a large person by any means). Maybe if you're just overweight and not with a serious condition they might give some support, but they didn't work for me. I couldn't wear them for more than about 2 hours at a time. They felt uncomfortable, and if I made them less tight, they wouldn't work. The velcro strips made to give it stability feel like "two velcro strips" above and below the knee. Not great. Yesterday I gave them one last chance, and I ended up removing both of them in the middle of the street, and I was better off without them. I would have returned if I hadn't thrown out the box. Now I'm stuck with them, so I will be donating them. Save your money, and invest on better braces if you're serious about your health.
