This is absolutely beautiful. So pretty and rustic but great quality. Truly leather bound....you can smell it. Great for Journaling, recipes, memoirs, letters, gifts. Will probably buy another in a different color.

WOW, I agree with the previous reviewers that inspired me to pick this journal over the others I was looking at! It's absolutely beautiful! The leather is high-quality and has that amazing smell that I love so much. The paper is very thick but smooth enough to write nicely on (or draw or paint...there aren't big chunks of fibers throughout, just a couple on a few pages.) The cover isn't super stiff, so when I open it up, it stays open. Plenty of pages...the strap with the key enclosure is so mystical-looking, which is totally my style... I'm very happy with my purchase and I feel like it's an excellent value for what it is. I've seen journals like this that cost a lot more and aren't even as well-made and beautiful. If you're looking at it, get one!

I was expecting this product to weigh more, and to have hard scratchy paper. The book is much lighter though, which makes it far easier to carry. What's more, the paper is soft to the touch, and thick. There's also plenty of room between the pages to slip photographs into. Erasing graphite from the pages is very easy, requiring almost zero pressure. In fact, an eraser literally just rubs away the soiled paper, as opposed to rubbing away the marking itself. This means more complete erasing of pencil mistakes at least. Unrelated to product quality, a few sheets of paper in this book glow bright white under blacklight, while the rest of the paper doesn't. I counted the pages, and there's 160 writable surfaces in the book I received. That's plenty of room for journaling. I'm so impressed by the product, I've bought one more for my mom, and have recommend this exact book to multiple friends. I will likely purchase more of these in the future, as the need arises.

Purchased on May 25th it at $31.99, 7 days later, it’s $59.99 😩 why?! Hoping it’s a vendor mistake, but if not, it’s still truly WORTH the $60 they’re asking, $32 was a short sale for what you get. Get the journal, you or the receiver will LOVE it.Haven’t tested the pages for ink saturation/ bleed through, if it’s negative I’ll update, if you see no update… you’re g2g!

I bought this journal to make a guest book/marriage advice/date night ideas for my son's wedding. it was perfect with all the signatures inside and the cover is adorable. Love it!
Smells like mould
I love the look of the journal, the paper is really nice but it smells so bad of mould when I first opened it. Theres no mould on the leather and I was so hopeful the smell would go away eventually. I would return it but I wrote on a couple pages. After a week it smells just as strong and I have to keep it outside because it makes my house smell.

I am absolutely in love with this journal...It's thick creamy paper is a pleasure to write on! It is sturdy and the pages can keep up with my fountain pen without bleedthrough...which is amazing! The price was less than I had first thought...which made me fork over my dollars...I am so Impressed with my purchase!
Hand made artisan product made out of genuine materials
Cover is made of real leather. Pages are hand made, have uneven edges like worn off book, have authentic smell of old damp paper. I absolutely recommend this product to anyone who wants to have unique notebook or diary. Leather cover is thick and promises durability. Paper is handmade so if you write using fountain pen you will get bit of bleeding but this is expected with this paper. I absolutely love this product.It IS NOT a cheap, fake product - It looks and feels really well. Highly recommended.
