I did read reviews before I bought this, but apparently I missed some things. I bought this for a kids face painting event. First, the coverage was great and it did not stain the skin. Deep, rich color looked great when first applied. However, it never dried. It was hot, kids touched their face and it smudged. I’ll be buying a water based palette for our next event.

I bought two different face paints to be used on children. This one was the only one that didn't completely melt outside AND stayed well on the faces of sweaty children!! Highly recommend. Also, very easy to remove with a make up wipe or some face wash.

These colors are not water activated and smudge very easily. You also can’t make any designs with them as they never really dry and everything smudges. They have weird wax like consistency and don’t come off easily with water. Not suitable for face paint.
