This is the perfect size pan to melt butter—not so big that the butter is lost on the bottom (and I’ve then messed up a pot I might need for something else), but not so small that it is unstable on my gas stove. That is literally all I intend to use it for. But when I need it, I need it! However, you could easily use it to make a sauce.The pan is surprisingly heavy, as in it is a solid, quality item. It doesn’t tip on the stove like my last one which was a fraction of the weight (with too much of that in the handle). The weight in this pan is well distributed, so it is very stable. It has a pour spout, so it is easy to transfer the melted butter wherever I need it to go.The only thing I’ve found that I don’t like is that because the pan is heavy, it slides around in my pan drawer.

Heavy, flat bottom with pour spouts. Very well made. I use every day, perfect to cook small amounts. Even bought a second one.

I needed a small sauce pan for small jobs. I order this pan and my judgement was off on the sizing but I went ahead and tried it out. I poached garlic in oil, reduced balsamic vinegar, and warmed butter. It did the job, cleaned up well and storage is easy because of the size. I have the smallest kitchen in the world so space is at a premium. If I had gone to WS I would have walked out with way more items than what I was looking for so even if I miss judged the size this guy has been a good little work horse.

It’s exactly what it says it is. Works great on Induction, heavy and sturdy, I love it. I had just returned a cheap one that did not connect well, so I’m more than happy that my Saucepan Quest is over. Great Job
