5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome performance.
Great suction power and got all the water off the cover!
5.0 out of 5 stars It works great!
I covered my pool with a tarp for winter and ended up getting a whole bunch of water leaves and pine needles on the top of it. It took this thing almost 6 hours but it got all the water out with out getting clogged once! This is amazing!
4.0 out of 5 stars Great little pump for the money!
I have an 18’ round above ground pool that I used a solid cover for the first time when closing my pool for the winter. I have never needed to pump water due to me using a mesh cover or simply leaving the pool uncovered all winter. To avoid putting too much stress on the frame of my pool from all the rain and snow we get here in Ohio, I decided to buy this inexpensive little cover pump to pump excess water off the cover and not have to do it manually. For the money, I am very happy with it. I have a “pool pillow” in the center of my pool under the cover (I also reviewed it on Bolo), which creates a “moat” of water around the pool on top of the cover, making it much easier to pump water with less stress on the pool frame. One thing this pump does not do is suck all the water from one spot on the cover. It is not powerful enough. I have to move it around after each area is sucked dry. It is super easy to assemble (I use the little cheap hose it came with) and the cord is long enough to move around the entire perimeter of the pool. If there is a LOT of water, the pump will sometimes stop sucking in water after a couple hours. My guess is it probably does that so it doesn’t overheat. It also can get quite dirty, so keep the instructions it came with as it explains how to clean it.I also noticed when I move it to a different spot on the cover while it is still plugged in, no water will come out of the hose despite the pump still being submerged. What I found to correct this problem is to unplug and plug the cord back in, and then stretch the hose as straight as I can possibly get it (any kinks will stop water flow) until water starts coming out again. It is kind of an inconvenience, but it works every time. Keep in mind you get what you pay for, so don’t expect this thing to be super powerful. If you have a lot of water that needs pumped off, it WILL take a while. Keep an eye on the hose every so often to make sure water is still coming out! As I mentioned earlier, the hose it comes with is very small, cheap, and flimsy. Luckily, you can use your own garden hose if you wish to. If you’re looking for a cheap pump to keep your pool from collapsing during the winter, I recommend this product. Just keep your expectations realistic. If you want a powerful suction pump or have a very large pool that accumulates a ton of water, I recommend investing in one of the stronger and more pricey ones. For me, this does the trick! I took a star off due to having to babysit it and unplug/replug it back in after a while and/or after moving it to a new spot. My photos show the pump after it pumped the water off the cover. I hope this review helped! :)

1.0 out of 5 stars Died after 1 month
I bought this on Oct 21, on Nov 22 it died. The pump worked fine in the beginning, I brought it out after a rain storm to get water off my pool cover and it stopped working. I’m one day outside my return window with Bolo, so now I’m stuck. I tried cleaning out it out, making sure there was no trapped out and all the other tips and tricks. It seems the motor is just dead. I would spend a few extra and get a decent pump that will last more than a month.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works fantastic
I can’t believe how quick this pumped water off my pool liner . I thought I will take a chance since it’s so reasonable. My husband said best thing I have ever purchased lol.
