5.0 out of 5 stars Spicy and authentic
Very good and hot, just as advertised.
5.0 out of 5 stars A bit expensive but worth it
Delicious and spicey! The oil might be a bit heavy for some but hasn't detracted from the taste.
5.0 out of 5 stars Delicious
These peppers are real good
2.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected
Mild flavor, salty.
4.0 out of 5 stars Delicious Peppers
These are fantastic calabrian peppers. Each one is plump and easy to eat with a fork. I eat them with pasta or just with cheese. The flavor is bright and fruity, with a spicy kick. Since they are packed in oil, they come with bonus pepper oil that can be repurposed for recipes. The only thing I don't love is that some of these are packed with seeds to the point that they are a little hard to eat.
5.0 out of 5 stars Heat- there is a lot of it. Perfect for those who like spicy peppers.
Simply, these are very spicy. I tried one about 10 minutes ago and my mouth is still burning. This is a jar of Calabrian Vulcan HOT chili peppers. It is 33.51 ounces. Glass jar. Packaged well. This is a product of Italy.Ingredients are 100% italian hot chili peppers, sunflower seed oil, extra virgin olive oil, salt, vinegar. Contains natural sulfites. This is oil based. If the oil is too much, these can be easily rinsed. This is not vinegar based. There is a little vinegar but it is very spicy. I couldn't take the heat before I could get to the vinegar. I didn't taste vinegar. To taste:The first thing I notice is the heat. It hits hard from the very beginning. It tastes like my favorite hot sauce in a pepper and not sauce.Appearance- these are beautiful. They are whole thin peppers. Both ends cut off. Some seeds float around the oil. There are a lot of them. This will last awhile!
5.0 out of 5 stars Hot Chiles – Vulcan Variety
These are the “Vulcan” Calabrian chili peppers which are the HOT versions. These are hot & delicious. They are great chopped & served with antipasti, pizza, sandwiches, etc. – whenever you want a hot chili flavor. I use these most often to make Calabrian chili pasta – a red sauce with sundried & canned, whole tomatoes.Calabrian chiles are grown in Calabria, Italy (the toe of the “boot”). There are many varieties & levels of heat.
