    I purchased this chess set for $30; however, from reading some reviews, I was expecting to request a refund upon arrival. This was not the case. I have been playing chess for over 30 years. While the pieces are not perfect, from my experience, I have found that if you drop a chess piece on the board and it stands up, it is a balanced chess piece. These pieces fit the 17" board I purchased and the board was in great condition. In my opinion, Americans (me included) expect perfection at a low price. For a set like this, its not going to get much cheaper, unless it is on sale or a bargain basement purchase. This set could have come from China and I would have purchased it for $30. For the price, this is a good chess set and a giftable one too.

    I purchases for a 10-year-old. He loves it! Not only does it have the chest pieces but of course the checkers. He hadn't really played before so I wasn't sure he'd even like it. Not only did he read the pamphlet to figure it out, but he has used this three to four times a week. It goes from house to house backpack to suitcase back of the car to the table where he plays. It hasn't worn out. Top looks just as good as before and the pieces are great. Perfect for our new chess player!

    I love this board! The pieces are large and well crafted. The board is also made with precision; therefore, it lays out level during use, and folds with accuracy for storage. It is solid and durable; this board is sure to deliver years of satisfaction. This Juegoal set has nice checker pieces that king well too. It is one of my better Bolo purchases, as it arrived quite quickly. I highly recommend it.
