1. The hourglass has a timing error of about 5%, which is a normal phenomenon and is higher than the production standard of the hourglass industry.
2. It is normal for the sand to hang on the wall or get stuck, and it can be relieved by flicking the hourglass or putting it under the sun to ventilate.
3. The hourglass size is manually measured, and there will be an error of 0.1 to 0.5 inches.
This hourglass brings a nice touch to any office or family room. Very sturdy.
It’s well balanced and just looks great with its real metal and glass. No cheap plastic here.
Hourglass timer will be a really nice addition to the home & office.

I’d call the sand in mine a “watermelon” red. Nuts on each end of the 4 rods are adjustable to correct any “wobble”. I’ve wanted an hourglass ever since seeing “the wizard of Oz” many, many years ago. Will likely rarely use but still a darn cool gadget to have on the shelf.

Seems like it got a little jostled during shipping - one of the little feet had come off. Fortunately, I found it still inside the shipping box, and I was able to screw it back into place without much difficulty. Looks great, I like it. It's both decorative and functional.
