    I guess we are so used to the maple flavor from our stores, that the flavor from real maple does not taste anything like that. Even the consistency is different than those we have at the stores. The old-fashioned maple syrup that comes in a shape of an old-fashioned lady with an apron is thick. One would expect that all maple syrups to have that type of consistency. I've tasted a couple of real maple syrups and they are really delicious, but the syrup is thinner (a bit on the runny side). I purchased this maple syrup and another that is aged in a bourbon barrel, and I must say, I prefer this one best. It's darker in color and bolder in taste. Although I do prefer the thicker consistency, but this syrup is really good. I will continue to purchase this brand.

    I needed a full-bodied, rather strong maple syrup for some maple cookies I was making. I had tried regular pure maple syrup and it wasn't up to the job - no maple flavor at all. This yummy Very Dark Maple syrup was spectacular. Everyone loves the cookies I made with it. Me, too. I'm so glad I got it. A++++.

    I am a maple syrup connoisseur, at least I like to think I am. I've tried dozens of varieties. This is one of the darkest and most flavorful I have ever tried. Some brands say they are dark but are fairly standard, this is one actually is dark and has a strong maple flavor, just how I like it.

    My syrup has bubbles in it that haven't gone away and they are dark colored. Research says most likely bacteria if bubbles don't subside and aren't white. Very disappointed... The regular maple was fine. No bubbles in itUpdate... Bolo returned my payment. Thank you Bolo.
