I used these for lightweight string lights around the patio. Easily clipped to the rain gutters. Can’t comment on durability as they have been up 1 month.Update 1 year later. These hooks become brittle and easily break after 6 months or so. I had extra so have been replacing as needed but now am going to look for a more permanent fix.

I purchased two boxes of these light clips to hang 220’ of C9 bulbs. I installed them in 50* weather and they were very easy to install with only two breaking. They were quick to install and held on to the gutter well once installed. There was no sagging or noise from the wind blowing my Christmas lights.I have black gutters so I’m very pleased with the clear color. It’s much more visually pleasing than the white ones available at local retailers.Overall, for the price and performance, I highly recommend these.

This hook holds a firm grip for regular string lights. If using a heavier light or hanging any other way than just straight along a side, they are not quite sturdy enough. Otherwise, they hang on to the edge well enough!

These clips work great for Christmas light hanging on gutters. It's a quick snap and these are hooked in. I placed them probably every foot or so. Held up for the few weeks the lights were up. They were just as easy to remove. These might be plastic but are very sturdy.

They're not the easiest to put up.They'll clip to the gutter fairly easily, but they don't clip onto a metal roof. To be fair, I'm not sure if anything will.The problem I have is that when I was taking down the lights on the house and trying to remove the clips, half to most of them broke very easily. They wrre very brittle after a month outside in moderate Middle Georgis weather. We had some nice cold (for us) weather for a few days during that month (It got down to about 19⁰F once), but was usually in the 60s. And it rained a bit.Given the fact that these are simply cheap plastic clips, I thought they were a bit overpriced to start with, but then again, so were all the other cheap plastic clips.I might just have to get out the staple gun a Griswold the Christmas lights next year. These clips are not woryh what you pay for them. I gave them three stars because they kept the lights on the house and I never had to re-string them.

Just what I needed. It was shaped perfectly for my gutters. I also slid its long clamp underneath my shingles to get around the edges of my house. The ridgeline didn't have enough clearance for that long section so I used the smaller clamp for that. A few clips broke when I took removed them but it's a cheap product so I expected it.
