We bought this skillet in Spring of 2024, after our last one (maker name rhymes with pesto) finally got too hard to clean, the non-stick surface having worn off over the heating elements long ago. We use an electric skillet a lot for making everything from stir-fry to stuff you might otherwise start in a skillet but finish in the oven. THIS new skillet, while not able to get as hot as the other (400 max vs 450), is still excellent. Big, deep, and with a lightly textured surface that keeps stuff from sticking. It's a cinch to clean. The heating element also covers much more surface area than other electric skillets, so the pan heats more evenly. If we let it get good and hot before adding things that need browning (like chicken), it does the job nicely. Hopefully it will last a long time. Will update this review if our opinion changes.

I have never owned an electric skillet. But my desire for things like smash burgers, fried fish and fried shrimp, turned me around. I figured an electric skillet could be used on my patio table, so no stinky house! The search was on! This is the #1 rated skillet and I can see why. The heating element is very big and is evenly distributed along the bottom, in a winding pattern. This lets you cook over the entire surface, without having to shuffle things around. I decided that pancakes would be a great way to judge its heating and cooking ability. The raw picture shows that the batter stayed put and didn’t run to the center or sides. I used butter for crispy edges. You can see that the first flip shows how evenly they browned. The plate shows the other sides, which are also perfectly brown. The heat regulated automatically and I had no burning or undercooked issues, through the entire batch. The quick release on the probe, made it SO safe and easy to remove. Once cool, I hand washed and it came clean very easily. Just a tip, don’t add your butter until the pan has preheated and your ready to cook, otherwise the butter might get too brown. I plan to use this electric skillet frequently. I love it and my mom would be proud!

We have had this skillet for about 6 months and we love it! It’s big enough for an entire meal for the family, but not too heavy or cumbersome. It works great for pancakes, eggs, fish, stir fry, stew, casseroles and French toast! Easy to clean, durable and works great for outdoor meals while camping or even just on a nice morning on the patio!

The perfect skillet for those of us who are serious about meal preparation but who are still stuck in a "College Dorm Student" and/or "Bachelor Pad" minimalist mindset. Wide enough to prepare several varieties of items together at the same time without necessarily having to resort to any additional cooking appliances, and Deep enough to handle a variety of soup/stew/casserole, etc. creations -- Frying, Griddling, Boiling, it's got you covered! ~ And it's relatively SPACE-SAVING!The "rectangular" shape means not only more versatile cooking space, but also ensures a more even heating than what you'd get from a typical "square" electric frypan (which generally use a "circular" heating element, which is always guaranteed to leave "cold spots") -- and the way the heating element in this unit configured (what they refer to as an "M-configuration") guarantees one of the best evenly distributed heated surfaces you can get with these devices.Add on top of that a "glass" lid with a venting hole, and the only thing you may think of that might've been a trade-off will be during those times when you would've appreciated having a "domed" lid instead.The "pouring notch" is the only inclusion which seems like a welcome addition but is in reality more trouble than it's actually worth: to have made this feature truly effective, it should've been designed with a "protruding lip" to aid in giving a more precision & controlled pouring flow -- just use the typical "pour out at the corner" method if you're not fond of mopping up spilled contents after the fact.Despite its being heavy and sturdy, there are still a couple of areas of concern: One being that the "Non-Stick" surface will gradually lose its effectiveness, which I suppose is to be expected with all of such items, but any "peeling" (perhaps due to the "pitted" surface design?) will not be readily noticeable; and Secondly, DON'T DROP THIS THING!!! ...as the plastic handles are of the variety which WILL break upon impact!Overall however, this was the best non-stick electric frypan purchase within a reasonable price range I'd ever made in all of my years of flying solo... so much so that this review is being provided on what was actually my SECOND purchase of this identical item! (see note above re: "fragile plastic handles")Consider this an ENDORSEMENT.

A really good skillet at the price point. Even heat, lid fits well, easy to clean and was made with decent quality. The surface coating seems good, but that’s left to be seen. I use this skillet about once a week so from what I see it should last me a long time.

...Love this skillet! ... No worries now about having enough room to cook one big batch instead of two smaller batches to feed my family. The coating works like a dream too; no sticking but it still browns the food. This skillet is sturdy,stabile, and has a built in pour spout that makes gravy transfers to a gravy boat quick,easy, & neat. The depth, roomieness, and coating of this skillet makes extremely versitile. From fried burgers to smothered dishes, this skillet does it all. It really is the best electric skillet I have ever had. It is a great value for the money!

Best skillet I’ve ever used
This thing is huge! Great for deep frying and making soups and stews, spaghetti sauces. Sooo much room for pancakes and quesadillas, hash browns, etc.It has this textured bottom to it that is supposed to be anti scratch. I love this thing so much, I couldn’t even think of using a utensil in it that wasn’t plastic or silicone, even so. It goes up to 400degrees, nice even heat. So easy to wipe clean or put the entire pan in the dishwasher! Worth the money!

Never bought this brand before, but love it! Nice deep dish for cooking. Found no issues with the temperature control plug, fits snug and releases smoothly. Love the non-stick coating; super easy to clean!!
Perfect, in every way!
I don't usually write reviews but felt compelled to provide a review 2 years after I purchased the Elite Gourmet EG electric skillet. This electric skillet has made cooking for my family so much easier. Its non-stick surface has never failed on me, and the extra-large size of the skillet has allowed me to reduce the # of cooking batches, per meal. I highly recommend it.

I’ve purchased two of these pans. I gave one away for a gift and kept the other for myself. The pan is deep and of great quality. I really like this size for making stir-fry type of meals. It is easy to install the cord and has multiple temperature settings. I highly recommend purchasing.
