5.0 out of 5 stars A must for every parent!

My baby was in the NICU with oxygen issues for a few weeks so getting this was a no brainer for us. I love that it alerts us if something is wrong, which it did when his heart rate was too high due to a fever which turned out to be pneumonia. The battery life is also AMAZING and so is the charging speed! I do think there could be several improvements. 1: the fabric of the sock is really crappy, my baby has used it for all of 2 months and it’s already coming apart. I get it, it used every night and babies rub their feet all the time but Im sure there are better and more durable fabrics. 2: The app is amazing but there should be a working widget to go along with it. 3: The connectivity needs a little improvement. My house is not very big and I have to constantly move the base station around when I want to monitor my LO during the day. Other than that, I am honestly extremely grateful for this device. I have more peace of mind at night knowing that my baby is being monitored all night. It’s worth every single penny.

5.0 out of 5 stars An essential item for new parents

First time parent here & I can’t stress how much relief this provides us. Loud enough, immediate updates and constantly able to check baby status. It allows us the opportunity to get some rest, comfortably, without the constant worry. It notifies you in ample time when it’s dying and charges quickly to get back on relatively fast. I consider this a must have item and worth every penny!

5.0 out of 5 stars I would rate it a zero if they had a zero. NOT get the camera to work!

    W. · July 16, 2024

Never did get it to work. Bought as a baby shower gift in March. Of course it was not needed immediately, so several people tried to set it up once it was needed and get it working but it did not work. Now the return time has lapsed so a lot of money wasted on an expensive item. This is a case of cost did not equate quality. UPDATE: customer service made it good and the new one works great.

1.0 out of 5 stars Nightmare Sock

    J.B. · April 28, 2024

My wife insisted on getting this product to monitor our baby’s O2 and heart rate, while sleeping, for peace of mind. Peace of mind has been the complete opposite of what the dream sock has given us. First, you cannot use the Health Notifications, which is the feature that alarms if baby’s O2 falls below 80%, until baby is 1 month old. When finally setting this feature up, it took several attempts restarting my phone, reinstalling the app, and unplugging and plugging the base back in for the “activation” to complete. While using the dream sock, it would constantly drop connection with the base and the base would alarm, sending a notification to my phone stating “sensor disconnected from base station.” My daughter sleeps 1-2 feet away from the base station. It is set up on the dresser directly next to where she is sleeping. This has been our experience for nearly a week now and each night we have had to unplug the base to get it to stop alarming. What is really frustrating is we will put the sock on while our daughter is getting ready to go down for the night and it will work perfectly. While she’s wiggling around during a diaper change in another room, while she’s being rocked to sleep, even when she’s downstairs before we all go to bed, there are no alarms, but as soon as we lay down to sleep, again DIRECTLY next to the base, it starts alarming. This is easily one of the worst products I have ever used. It flat out does not work for the function for which it is designed. The cost is ridiculous. Upon writing this review, I see the cost has increased a further $100 since we purchased our kit. Seriously, my wife bought an “off brand” Apple Watch for $15 that tracks her O2 and heart rate and it works far and above better than the dream sock. The Owlet app looks like it was designed for Windows XP and works just about as well. I haven’t even set up the camera yet, but based on my experience with the dream sock and app, I expect it to be a complete nightmare to use and the whole kit will end up being a tremendous waste of money that just sits in the cupboard collecting dust. Unfortunately we are beyond the return window because of the whole “can’t use it for the first month of baby’s life” thing so we’re stuck with the nightmare sock for good. I guess I expected that for a premium cost I would be getting a premium product with a premium user experience. The Owlet Dream Sock and app are the total OPPOSITE of a premium product and premium user experience and I would not recommend this product to anyone.05/27/2024 Update: I set up the camera and it was simple enough. I like that it shows the humidity of the room and gives an indication of the noise level in the room on the app. The picture quality is about as good as the webcam that came for free with my Dad’s HP Pavilion desktop computer in 1999. We wanted a second camera for another area of our house where our daughter naps, but a camera on its own is $129! Thats right, $129 for essentially a 1080p webcam. Do a quick search on Bolo and you can find higher image quality baby monitor cameras, with the same features, for far less than half the price. We are going to go that route for a second camera. My wife insisted on using the dream sock for what has now been a total of 6 weeks and she has finally given up on it. We end up having to unplug it almost every night because it keeps giving the same connectivity error over and over to the point, last night, it woke our baby up. I am not confident that if our baby was having a medical emergency it would even work to alert us because the connectivity issues have been so bad. Not to mention with it going off over and over, night after night, it has been pretty much “crying wolf” for 6 weeks. My wife and I are done using this product for good and the sock is now packed away. For how poorly the dream sock has worked, I wonder if our set was possibly defective? But again, we can’t return it because we are beyond the return window. I cannot reiterate enough, this is BY FAR the worst product I have ever used and the value for money is truly horrendous. Since the dream sock is nonfunctional, we ended up paying $269 for essentially a 1080p webcam and an app that looks like it’s from before the iPhone was even invented. Also, don’t forget, this all functions over 2.4ghz WIFI and not the newer 5ghz WIFI so there is noticeable lag with both the camera and sock. The dream sock has cost my wife and I hours and hours and hours of sleep and has done the complete and total opposite of giving us “peace of mind.” It belongs with Oscar the Grouch, IN THE TRASH.

5.0 out of 5 stars Peace of Mind

I love this product! I am so grateful for this! At night or during nap time, it lets me be able to have peace of mind without having to check on baby all the time. My only complaint about this is that it connects to wifi so if the connection is down or you don't have wifi, it is hard to use. But overall, we love this and are so very grateful we got it

4.0 out of 5 stars Sock is great for peace of mind, be wary of the camera if you can't switch your wifi to 2.4Ghz

    N.L. · August 6, 2024

First, we like the sock as it really helps us sleep at night. Our issues are really with the app and the camera. There are some issues with the alerts, but some of that is us having the base station in a different room than where the baby sleeps. Probably the most annoying thing about the sock and base is the "can't get a reading" alert, which is supposed to mean that the sock has shifted. We've had nights where the baby is completely asleep and not moving and that alert will go off and we'll need to turn the base station off and back on to make it stop. That being said, it doesn't happen often so we can deal with it.Having the ability to dismiss the alerts from the app if you're away from the base station is great, if the app actually loaded fast enough to make it worth it. I've counted around 45 seconds for the app to finally give you the prompt screen to dismiss the alert, meanwhile the base station is blaring away. Thankfully the song it plays doesn't wake the baby. We've been unable to connect the camera at all. It has something to do with our wifi connection (2.4Ghz vs 5Ghz) because the camera can't support a 5Ghz connection. I understand that's not the fault of the camera, but if any of the descriptions had listed that specifically we wouldn't have spent the extra for the camera.

    Perfect

Great product, really lets us know how our baby is sleeping

    Muy útil

    J.G.Z. · July 27, 2024

    Peace of Mind

    A.C. · July 19, 2024

As a first time mom this product helped bring me major peace of mind with my baby. Camera quality is really good and all the vitals taken make me feel a lot better. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because when my baby was a newborn he had skinny feet and the sensor wouldn't fold enough to make good connection with his skin and was constantly going off. We did stop using it until he was 2.5 months old when his foot was wide enough for it.

    La app funciona en México

    G.B. · May 3, 2024
