    I should have looked closer at the pictures. These tongs look like they were handmade in a primitive blacksmith forge. I was expecting a more refined product that wasn't cruly made. They function and get the job done for what they are. I will probably replace the pivot pin that holds the tongs together when it eventually breaks. This looks like the weak point for the tongs.

    Great tongs - same as the ones that came with my foundry but better quality and much easier to use. They pivot very well. Will different hand positions can pour, lift, hold, etc. for smaller crucibles the tongs with grab around them and allow for pouring this way. After number of uses/quenches are still in great shape
