5.0 out of 5 stars SOLID, QUALITY product! 15-Year DJ Veteran Approved!
Coming from using the same 2x Pioneer CDJ 800 MK2's purchased in 2008 and a mint Pioneer DJM 450 (2017), I must say... This unit blows my DJM 450 AND those old (But still beloved) CDJ 800 MK2's OUT OF THE WATER!!!The overall build is real solid. Heavy and feels professional, sturdy and the furthest from cheap. A mix of thick, high quality plastic and brushed aluminum on the jog wheel platters and completely encompassing each jog wheel section. The mixer sounds, feels and performs better than the DJM 450! The 450 is already an incredible, high performance $699 mixer as is! The DDJ 800's mixer is FAR SUPERIOR in my opinion of DJing for 15 years. Many more FX, Faders and even the CF feels so much better, without the Magvel! You can adjust SO MUCH in Rekordbox's menus. You can even change the color FX preset buttons! Rekordbox lets you deeply customize this thing! The jog wheels aren't mechanical, but honestly feel BETTER to me than the CDJ 800 MK2's and up do, IMHO. The jog adjust knob is really nice and lets you choose between a lighter, more floaty jog.. or a firm, very professional quality/feeling one.. The play/cue buttons feel better than on a new pair of CDJ's, no joke! The tops of the jogs are very high quality brushed aluminum that feel almost like glass, like silk.. Going from mechanical to reactive wheels took little time to get used to.. The 800's jogs are tight and on point! I am very surprised on how tight and firm the jogs are at 12 O'clock or even on the lightest setting. Very nice all around! The performance pads are insanely and deeply customizeable. I can't even begin to get into how deep they get. Between the hot cue/FX/beat jump and everything.. it'll take quite awhile to customize this unit to your exact liking.. But it was worth it when I finally got it just right.Rekordbox isn't too bad at all. A simple program that lets me access thousands of tracks acquired over the years at the simple turn/click of a dial.Overall, being an old school DJ learning on vinyl, mastering on CDJ's and now with this incredible piece of equipment, I couldn't be happier. It takes a veteran DJ awhile to go from discs to a program, but I'm on my PC all day anyway. I have been using Mixxx for many years now as a tool to test tracks at different bpm's and test before burning to CD, so if you have any familiarity to any of the other DJ software out there, then I'd say you'd be like me and pick it up moderately easy.I HIGHLY recommend this and I was lucky to get one at $775 (Before Tax) before the promotion from Pioneer was over on 12/31. (If you're wondering why you're seeing them at $899 now.) I would STILL get one even at $899!!!You seriously cannot beat the performance and quality for the price. This thing is AMAZING! It feels so solid and I couldn't be happier with how much more my mixing capabilities and parameters have increased! Also, I'm retired from paying gigs, but this thing rocked a house party it's 2nd night out of the box and is perfect for home use too! Unless you HAVE to have mechanical jogs, 4 channels and barely anything else of significance, then I would give you my 100% recommendation to just buy the DDJ 800 first, ask/think about things after..
5.0 out of 5 stars Must Buy!!
The fact that it's plug and play is a big plus. The fact that it's compact and very high quality is by far what makes these turntables worth the money. You can feel like a pro with the great performance and sound quality that you get with these. Weird noises from the knows or buttons everything is well made. If you are a starting Mobile DJ this is a must buy. Love the EQs and sound effects on it and the large turntables is awesome. Overall great product. A must buy!!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Still supported on latest versions of DJ software
I don’t use a controller, so when I DJ, I’m missing these sort of buttons. I’ve been experimenting with DJ applications like Serato and record box, and to use a lot of those laptop apps features you need this sort of pad layout. The sub controller is still updated for the most recent versions of the software. Still very much useful.

1.0 out of 5 stars Controller was supposed to be brand new, but clearly was not
My wife and kids got my the REV1 controller as a surprise for Father's Day. Immediately when it was delivered, my wife feared something was not right with it. The item was shipped in the controller box with a shipping label slapped on it, along with several other brown stickers on the outside to cover portions of the box that had other stickers or damage, with no other protection. Clearly, that box is not meant to ship the unit in by itself as the edges was all bent in and damaged. When I picked it up, the box was very light, and I could feel/hear something loose inside. The tabs at the top of the box were not secured at all and you could tell they had been tampered with. Upon opening the box, the controller was visibly used: extremely dirty, dusty, no plastic sleeve or bag surrounding the unit or the Styrofoam, the sliders and knobs you could see had visibly been used/moved, and the USB cord was just thrown loose in the box without even a tie around it. Needless to say, I was disappointed, considering this was supposed to be brand new direct from Pioneer DJ. I'm hoping Pioneer sees this and makes things right. Wasn't much point in trying the unit out. I should not have to spend time thoroughly cleaning/blowing/dusting the jog wheels and components of a brand new unit before even using it the first time.
5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Intermediate Controller.
Absolutely love this controller. Great for beginners and intermediate DJs. I have had it for almost a month and I really enjoy the pro features and Serato integration. It has already paid for itself with my gigs. Whether you are a studio DJ, music producer, or a Live DJ and you dont want to spend 2000 dollars but you want something a little more professional than an entry level controller. This is perfect mid price range controller that feels like a mini SRT1000. The workflow is smooth and natural and it is a board that will grow with you as you gain more experience. It can make a beginner dj look like a seasoned pro. While even the seasoned pro would be more than satisfied with the features built in. Like many others have already stated. The one downside is the small, touchy, tempo faders. Not a big deal but in a pinch, the more novice DJs will find it a little easier to use the SYNC button to match beats precisely. I still use the tempo fader to get to the tempo I need as fast as possible and then I use sync if the fader misses the mark by a decimal or so. Only other DJs will scoff at this...the average listener will never know the difference.
Muy bueno
Llegó bien, funciona bien, todo bien
Ótimo
Muito bom
Perfecto
Best controller no question
I decided to step up and grab this controller when it was a nice discount. It's a professional as you can get without bringing turntables. I never used moving platters before but I love it and it would be difficult going back. The mixer is perfect, the layout is perfect, using stems is flawless. I have heard of some issues that others have had, but that happens on first generation tech so hopefully that can be addressed. On and they sent me the gold version! Well worth the money. If you're a push button DJ, get a Rev 5 instead but if you want to have fun learning how to really manipulate music grab this.
