In addition to being absolutely adorable, this toy is a fantastic visual aid for sheep/fleece-to-shawl and other handspinning demonstrations. The sheep is designed to sit on its rump (the position in which a shearer initially holds the sheep), and the zipper is correctly positioned so you can explain how the fleece is removed in one piece. The toy is small and lightweight, so it is easy to add to a spinner's basket or stuff in a wheel bag. This would be a great gift not just for children, but for adult knitters, spinners, and other fiber artists.

I may or may not have gotten this for adult me but passed it off as a kid toy. It’s so fun to sheer the sheep haha. It’s made rather well all things considering! It’s really fun to play with. I’m glad I got it. Smiles were worth it!
