This thing is great for the money - I use to work on electronics and would have used this as a daily driver, only thing and it maybe a me problem is I keep adjusting the temp without meaning to, could just be me being used to my old one, I have added this to the hot air station and it seems up to the task

Not 80w. The buttons are not a benefit but an issue. Tried to cope, got one pcb job done well and upon firing up the second time it wont even get hot enough for solder to melt when applied directly to it, forget trying to heat a component and apply solder. Will be returning.

Not as powerful as advertised. Had to buy a different one. When I used the new one at lower settings it was still more powerful than this one maxed out. Do not buy if you intend to work on guitars. Claims to be 80W, but cannot melt solder on pots at max temperature. Save yourself some headache and spend the extra money.

I'm pleasantly surprised by this. It works fairly well and was very inexpensive. I had ordered irons that were more expensive and had to return them for various reasons. This one I will be keeping.
