    I got these mason jars because they advertised them to be thicker. At different times, I bought two 12 jar cases of the Ball brand mason jars from Target. The glass in the Ball brand is cheap. They always crack at the bottom. Within a short period of time cracks always appear at the bottom of the Ball brand mason jars. This happened with every single one of them. It's very frustrating to keep throwing them away due to them cracking. The thing is, I don't do anything unusual to cause them to crack. In fact, I have older 32 ounce mason jars that are not the Ball brand that have lasted me for years.I decided to look for mason jars that would last and wouldn't crack. Happily, I found this brand that advertised the glass as thicker and also stating that they will last. I recently received them and am happy with them so far. They indeed appear to be thicker. I also like that the glass is pretty plain without all the extra brand advertising.I am giving these jars 5 stars. If they start to crack at the bottom like the Ball brand did, I'll come back and change my rating. However, I believe that I won't have to do that. I believe that these mason jars are good quality.

    Seem to compare at least equal to the Kerr and Ball glass jars I had previously in construction. Two-part metal caps as well (I would add that I think all canning metal caps today are inferior in metal quality to what they were a decade or so ago). Tested now in canning processing via boiling water (note not pressure) and am fully satisfied. I really like that the bottles are simple with smooth surfaces on two sides (good for labeling) and measure marks (imperial- metric) on the other two sides. 5 stars for being at least as good as the mainline competition.

    These jars are GREAT for meal prep and leftovers!! I’d never used them as meal prep vessels, but they are the bomb! Love using glass, no plastic taste and it keeps food SO FRESH!These came quickly from the shipper and were packaged perfectly to prevent any breakage! 32 oz with extra wide top for easy food loading and cleaning! Big fan!!

    The kids are not 2 pieces. It is the ring and seal together. Jars are just fine other than that. They are a little thin feeling but they worked fine during canning season
