We decided to homeschool this year and I was looking for science experiments that both my 10 year old and 6 year old could do and understand. They both love this! They have been so entertained by every experiment we have done so far. All the materials are very well made, the instructions are easy to follow, and they feel like real scientists!

I bought this over the summer but we're into October and my kid still uses this. I did limit him to 3 or 4 experiments each week in order to stretch things out. Left unattended, some of the ingredients were used for really dumb stuff so it's important to monitor them a bit while using so you dont run out of things. Many experiments they can complete on their own with a bit of guidance. Some where great family projects and really fuels creativity if your child loves science or engineering. This kit came with all of the essentials. Very few household items were needed.

My son, now 4, 3 when I got it loves this science experiment kit. I however am a little frustrated with it. I’ve tried two of the iodine experiments and they don’t work. I truly think they just gave me water dyed red. I’m also very skeptical the crystal is actually going to grow a crystal. Also, the book is hard to read because it appears to be written in China or something and some of the pages are hard to understand. 😞

I ordered this for my 7 year old and he loves it! comes with very sturdy pieces and exactly what a small budding scientist needs to do his "experiments". I would happily recommend.

Interesting kit but nothing unique that you can't already find in your kitchen
You are basically paying for the experiment book. This kit contains many interesting objects and tools (beakers, tweezers, cups, measuring cups) but these are all items you can find (or find substitutes for) in your kitchen. The experiments are interesting but nothing you can't already find online through a few Google searches. The coat and goggles are fun, but not worth the price for what you get.This has sat unused since it was opened.
