Opened the box and the dial window fell off the digital display. Tried it with the smallest tip bit, ( light stippling), and after 5 minutes the bit came loose.Comes with an assortment of stippling bits and templates proprietary to the iron which will probably not use. Apart from this, used it for some light stippling and it worked.Would not recommend for long term heavy usage

This will work for small DIY projects for the tinkering person. Soldering Iron works good, stands, suction tool and little screwdriver set and other little extras are a bonus to have. The volt meter is not very well made. The leads in my kit had melted plastic inside and around the exterior of contact point on leads. I had to scrape off plastic with knife and then reform the diameter of the plugs to the proper dimensions, since the plastic got injected inside the lead plug and increased its diameter, to have it plug into volt meter without snapping cheap plastic construction.You possibly could be satisfied with kit overall for small projects as it does work as a cheaper soldering iron should without having it run for "hours" on end. I can't see too well these days, so I keep my soldering short and sweet.The volt meter however is a different story. It is a big pile of steaming stuff I used to have to scrape off the drip shed (definition below) every morning and evening growing up on the dairy farm (Good Times, NOT!). This of course is my humble, yet honest opinion and review of this product ...A "Drip Shed" is the waiting room for cows before they enter the barn to get milked. We had 140 head of cattle we milked, so many cows stood there for several hours waiting their turn and since cows do what cows do, and more often than not, the drip shed was over 6" deep of the stuff I am comparing the volt meter to.I had to define what a drip shed is for those who didn't know what a drip shed is and keep in line with my Country Boy funny reviews. Plus, I just like to drop useless knowledge even if I would like to forget what a drip shed is ..Peace and stay safe out there

I love this soldering iron kit, I have spent more money on the last five I bought that broke and didn't have the features this iron and this includes a kit and it's adjustable with a meter also heat's up fast and can get hotter for different types of solder, great warrantee and free next day delivery, awesome deal and a great place to buy it from I'm thinking about buying a few more for gifts.It's a outstanding deal.

The media could not be loaded. Took this out of the box and it broke within 5 minutes of use. The red power button popped right out of its housing (see video). The housing is just slightly larger than the button, so when it heats up physics takes over and out pops the button. Same for the rubber protective piece meant to shield your hand from the high heat. Once the machine heats up, its over for that piece. It moves all over the place. Despite the heat generated by the machine, not enough of it transfers to the tip of the tool. In the video advertisement, it is most definitely sped up. The tool does not burn wood at the speed shown (see my video). Even so, after watching a bunch of tutorials, this wood burner does not add up to anything I have watched for beginners. I highly recommend you purchase another tool and not this one.

There were not a lot of reviews on this item but I decided to give it a chance because the company had some good reviews on their other soldering equipment. Very pleasantly surprised. For this cheap it works great. Especially at higher temperatures in comparison to other irons I have used. Remember to regularly replace your solder iron tips and to clean them because this can contribute to melting issues but if you take good care of this iron it seems to last. Bought almost half a year ago and use it regularly, for the price I have gotten my use out of it already.

This is an awesome kit for anyone looking to get into crafts with it. Whether it's wood burning or actually soldering things together with it, you're going to be happy with this purchase. It comes with everything you need, including a little bag to carry it all around with. Definitely recommend! It's super easy to use too.
