It fits perfectly (I got the small). It's lightweight and feels durable. The only bad thing Id mention is the quick release is a bit hard to undo, but maybe that will ease with use/time. Zero complaints. This is probably the coolest helmet Ive ever had.
5.0 out of 5 stars Beats a $$$ Harley Helmet
Bought my first bike this year, a Harley - went for style over function and bought a half helm from the Harley store to go with it. $300 later, the chin strap attachment I had to get (I sucked at the ring-tying) sucks hard - I'm getting bugs lodged in my ears (I ride a lot in country fields), and I'm clinically deaf from the wind after a short 45-minute ride.Sizing Chart:The sizing chart is pretty accurate, I have a big head (lot of hot air in there I guess) and where I thought going a size up was going to be roomy it's actually quite snug but still comfortable.Chin Strap:Kicks the crap out of both the default ring on the Harley helmet as well as the additional clip I had to buy. You "un-snap" your chin strap similar to Ski boots...just lift and pull. Where the Harley Helmet moves a bunch when I'm over 50 mph, this helm stays put.Padding:Extremely comfortable - the snug fit makes it kinda tricky putting my glasses on after I put the helmet on, with an upside that the padding holds my glasses in place so there's no "nose sliding" as I look around. The padding is a little bit tight on my ears - but this helps for a more quiet ride.Visors:Clear visor is indeed super easy to remove. Tinted visor is a snug fit when down, very little if any air coming in under the visor. My only complaint here is that the sun glare can make visuals opaque - this is the only reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5 on comfort. Bear in mind - this is sun in the face at 6:00pm, midday it's good.Chin Guard:TONS of air flow coming in through the chin guard - literally feel the air moving to the back and around my head.At a price of $70 - you seriously can't go wrong with this helm. Love the design too - went with the green one, wouldn't go back.
4.0 out of 5 stars Better than expected.
I love the overall look of the helmet. Very jet fighter looking and it still kept a slim profile without compromising protection. I have a Nolan modular helmet that is great, but darn it makes me look like a bobble head with its size.Pros:- Overall look- Ratcheting chin strap (some say not as "safe" as the standard chin strap btw)- Removable outer shield and face guard both w/ quick release- Inner tinted visor- Removable liner- Deep well circular comms cutout for more recessed addition- Fit runs a little larger than expected (not by much, but enough that you may want to go w/ a smaller size)Cons:- If you were to remove the face shield, you'll need to have a backpack or side bags to store it- Outer shield (depending on manufacturer defect) can pop out if/when riding w/ it in the up position- Zero instructions (it would be nice to know how to do or use certain features for some of the 'not-so-obvious' features)- Inner shield slider switch is directly in a location where you could put a bluetooth comms unit- (Update) I had only taken side roads w/ this helmet, but once I hit the highway, there's a loud whistling sound when you have the inner visor down and outer shield up, with it down it's fairly quiet. Anything over 40mph will need the shield down if you want quiet.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great helmet
Finally a nice day to try this helmet out . I give 5 stars perfect. Doesn’t feel so heavy after a two hour ride. It’s nice everything snap in place . Don’t have to screw or unscrew to put on the Shield or the chin guard on . Can’t wait to see how it does riding in the rain
5.0 out of 5 stars Update: Think of it as more of a quality 3/4 helmet than Modular.
Update: I was a little harsh in my initial review as I was disappointed with the chin guard part of this helmet. I have since wore it a few times as just a 3/4 and I have to say, it’s a great 3/4 helmet! If you’re looking for an affordable 3/4, this is a legitimate option. The face guard should be considered a side bonus. It’s not easy to put on, helmet should be off when putting that on. Then I like to sip water when I ride, this doesn’t lift, so I need a straw lol. So opt for the ILM version if you want a true modular with a tuck away face shield.PROS: Helmet looks great, the included visors work well and the outside clear cover does a great job of blocking the wind.CONS: because of the sunglass toggle switch, you can’t put a Bluetooth device in the usual side location. I had to put it almost in the back of my head, lol, the mic barely reaches.I recommend the ILM version if you’re looking for an affordable Modular to 3/4 face convertible helmet, the one where you can put the chin guard part all the up and behind to the back in a locking position, so it’s out of the way and you can alternate easily between a 3/4 and full face.
3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad for the price
