5.0 out of 5 stars THIS IS A 5 STAR MACHINE & A COMPANY WITH 5 STAR CUSTOMER SERVICE

    A.C. · October 15, 2024

UPDATE 2: I've now had an opportunity to use my new Casabrews machine & it is an outstanding machine. I have a machine that cost 7 times what this Casabrews cost. I do not like bling upon bling & wanted solid construction with a machine that was equally serious about brewing a cup as my expensive machine is. I was not inclined to spend that amount again & decided to try the Casabrews. I LOVE IT! It brews as good a cup if not a better cup than my other machine. It's compact, gorgeous and straightforward. Fits in any decor but much better than it's looks, is it's quality.Below are my comments on Casabrews Customer Service. Once again, 5 star service. Top notch machine with top notch company & customer service.========================================================ORIGINAL POST: My original post was Eek! & 1 star b/c of an issue that was NOT Casabrews. Now I have an update.UPDATE 1: The customer service from this company was WOW! I was worried about the integrity of the machine because of the significant hit to it but had not contacted the seller about it yet. The seller reached out to me immediately, however, to address my concerns.RATING FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE: 5 Stars and moreQuality company and customer support for sure. I have not changed my star rating yet because I have just put the machine through its first cycle. I will update my rating once I'm sure everything is as it should be.

My wife and I have a bad cappuccino habit. Started while on a visit to Italy. Continued when we returned home. Gets expensive to buy two a day from a coffee bar. This machine came highly recommended. For once the recommendations were on the money. It makes good cappuccino, is modestly priced and after some trial and error makes cappuccino as good as most coffee bars. Instructions that come with the machine are clear and have pictures to make the procedure clear. Just follow the instructions. Bought three essential tools to go with the machine. A good heavy weight, aluminum tamper. The plastic one that comes with the machine is wimpy. Here it is: https://www.Bolo.com/gp/product/B09H24D5YQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Also got a stainless steel frothing pitcher to use in steaming milk. Better than anything you have at home. Here it is: https://www.Bolo.com/dp/B07KFYXTRR?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details Lastly, bought a coffee canister designed to keep ground coffee fresh. Works well. Here it is: https://www.Bolo.com/gp/product/B01H38T264/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Making the perfect cup of cappuccino is by trial and error. Took me about ten tries. First, get the right espresso coffee. Tried some Italian versions. Not so good. Settled on Starbucks espresso, dark roast. Not ground to a powder like some espresso coffee, but works well in this machine. I'm too lazy to grind my own beans. Next, the right milk. Many coffee bars use one percent milk. We found it too watery. Changed to whole milk and that works fine. The amount of frothed milk you add to the espresso affects the strength of the taste. I suggest you don't add all the frothed milk in the pitcher to the top of the espresso cup all at once. Try 3/4 full. Probably too strong. Then keep adding the frothed milk in increments until you find the right amount of frothed milk that satisfies your taste. You don't have to buy this. But you need two cups. Any cup to capture the steam coming from the machine and a 12 ounce cup for the espresso/cappuccino. The 12 ounce cup has to be wide and not high so it will fit under the spouts where the espresso comes out. Tip. Turning the handle while on the machine was hard. A tiny drop of vegetable oil on your finger tip, rubbed on the edge of the cup containing the coffee, before inserting it into the machine, makes the handle turn easily. Doesn't effect the taste. Just use a tiny smear. All in all, this is a great buy. The machine makes 12 ounces of fine cappuccino in the convenience of your own home. I timed the process. Took me 15 minutes total in preparation, making the cappuccino, and cleaning up. A bright spot in our daily routine.

It took a few tries to get it right, but once I figured it out it works well. What is is: a decent home- use coffee machine; good for one or two cups of cappuccino / espresso. The small footprint fits on the counter without taking up a lot of space. Big plus! What it is not; not good for more than one or two cups in rapid succession, needs some cool down time after using the steamer wand.Overall, it is a good value, I'll give it four stars..

Very pleased with my purchase. Strongly built, espresso is dense and flavorful with nice head. Steamer/frother quite powerful. Easy to use, compact size saves counter space. Stainless steel is attractive. Highly recommend.

So, I've been using a quality French Press for over a decade which makes great coffee. After a visit to France, we finally pulled the trigger on an espresso machine. I hate large things on my counter since we cook quite a bit and use all the countertop real estate but this is a small footprint. It works really well. My friend has a very expensive unit and I cannot discern the difference between my espresso and his. I like the 20bar Italian pump and it seems like a quality unit. Amazing price too!

Compact Espresso Machine with Big Flavor

    G. · October 26, 2024

I’m genuinely impressed by this espresso machine! It’s compact, sleek, and doesn’t take up much space, which is perfect for my small kitchen. The pressure gauge is a great addition, allowing me to get a better feel for each shot. Once I figured out the nuances of the controls, it’s become a reliable daily companion that brews rich, flavorful espresso with a lovely crema on top.The milk frother works well too, especially for creating creamy lattes and cappuccinos. I like that the frother can also release hot water, which is great for warming up my cup. There’s a bit of a learning curve, particularly with temperature control after frothing, but the instructions were helpful in managing this. Overall, this machine feels well worth it for anyone willing to invest a bit of time to get it dialed in. The quality and value are impressive, and I’m happy I made this choice!

I have a bit of a love dislike relationship with this machine. I have been using it for just over a week now for my daily lattes so I am still getting a feel for it. We purchased this one after my old Breville began to seem like it was about to go. We have had the same machine for about 10-11 years and it just started going after we were travelling back and forth with it to our cottage. They don’t make the model we have anymore so after some research my husband thought it was worth trying the casabrews.I am a hard core espresso connoisseur by any means. I don’t weigh my beans or shot, etc. but I do have a bit of a picky taste and don’t like just any espresso. Here is what I like about the unitIt looks nice and sleek. Because it is such a sleek model it doesn’t take up a lot of space on the counter and is easy to move. The pressure gauge on the front is something I haven’t had before and I like seeing that my grind is in the right range. It makes a good crema on top of the espressoThe machine automatically stops when the 1 or 2 cups of espresso have brewed. This took a little getting used to as I haven’t had that before. So sometimes it feels a little too much water is in. But you can always just stop the pour if you prefer it a little stronger.I have only frothed milk once as it is summer and I prefer iced. But it worked well and it quickly heated the milk. Much faster than my old machine. Seemed to make a good foam. Here is what I don’t love.Because the machine is so lightweight you have to hold the machine while trying to lock in the espresso holder. It’s not a big deal but I often have a baby of child in my arms while making coffee so it’s a bit of a pain. Not a dealbreaker just worth noting. After you use the frothing arm you have to run hot water for about 8 seconds so the machine doesn’t overheat. All of this is detailed in instructions. If you don’t the lights on the 1 and 2 cup buttons just flash on and off and you can’t brew. It will also just flash like that and not brew if the overflow on the bottom of the machine is full and needs to be emptied. I had this happened and I couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t get the machine to brew. It was so frustrating and I was ready to pack the machine up and send it back. My old Breville didn’t have any of that automation so it takes getting used to.Now that I am getting the feel of things I am pretty happy with it. The real test is how long it will last.

    Great single-cup espresso maker

I was reluctant to go with a no-name espresso machine, but the price and small footprint of this machine was too attractive to pass up. Turns out it's a competent little machine that is great for a single Americano or small latte, and suits a small kitchen where counterspace is not large. The main thing I would counsel based on about a month of use, is grind your beans very meticulously, tamp the coffee well, pay attention to the pressure guage and shoot for just above mid-range for maximum flavour without scorching the grounds. The pressure guage is great as a guide to whether your coffee is the right grind and compacted properly. Also, warm up the vessels you're using beforehand to keep things warm enough. The instruction guide with this machine is quite explicit about warming your implements and I found it very helpful. The hot water setting on the machine is decent for Americano making, and it's nice that I don't have to boil a kettle separately for hot water like I did with my previous mid-range Breville I bought as a refurbished machine, and that finally packed it in after about 15 years of use.Like all compact machines, this is best for one or two people max. If you entertain and want to serve lattes to everyone, this is not the machine for you. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and we'll see how many years it keeps going...
