5.0 out of 5 stars Great traction, light weight
These are excellent, neutral trail shoes. Not much drop and not a lot of extra cushioning. They are quick and good for racing. The traction is about the best of any trail shoe. Holds well in mud. No slipping. The run a big large. I normally wear size 13 running shoes in all other brands. For these, the size 13 was too big. I ordered size 12.5 and it is perfect.
4.0 out of 5 stars Color way is ehh..
I ran some short test runs on trail with these about 30 miles. Then I ran a 50 mile race in them with 8k of vertical. The shoe has a good lock down at the ankle. Used xoskin toe sock with a darn tough sock over those. No issues, shoe gives good ground feel, great grip, it was dry feet did not feel hot. I did not get them wet so not sure how they dry. Seem durable with no issues 80 miles. First time in shoes with no blisters, I think the lock down is the key. It takes a few runs to get the footbed seated to your foot. Good shoe! 8-10 for trail running.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good alternative to hiking boots.
I bought these for a long rocky hike. Wanted something lighter than boots and didn’t want to have to break in boots. These had great traction and the rocks didn’t bother my feet. If you don’t need ankle protection for your hike, this is something to consider.
5.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable and grippy
This shoe fit perfectly and is quite comfortable. The sole has great tread and looks cool too.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for grass volleyball
I was looking for shoes I can wear for grass volleyball. It's hard to tell how trail running shoes do with aggressive lateral movements; the worst feeling is when your feet slip inside the shoes, like when the upper mesh is stretchy or they're too wide. I also have some Lone Peaks, which are great for running and walking but terrible for grass volleyball due to the wide toe-box (I guess if you have wide feet, they may work for you, but I have average width, closer to narrow). I was also worried about rolling my ankle, so I wanted something with a lower stack height (these have 28mm at the heel and 24mm at the toe). I also have the Speedcrosses and although I haven't rolled an ankle, I've been close several times. I've found the Peregrine top notch on both accounts. I also like the big lugs on the outsole, they help prevent slipping and have good traction with some moisture in the grass. This is my second pair of Peregrines. Cheers!
1.0 out of 5 stars Failed after 5 runs
UPDATE 07/08: Saucony reached back out to me, and after multiple conversations, decided to warranty and replace the shoe.Shoe looks good and feels good. Great traction and stability. Light.BUT! After 5 runs the shoe, on the right side only, began failing in the heel. I contacted Saucony for a warranty claim and they responded by saying the shoe is too big, I don’t know how to tie my shoes correctly, and I have high arches — so the defect is not their problem and refused to stand by their product.I run 4-5 times a week and have for over a decade. I get fitted for every shoe I buy because I know every shoe fits different, especially a trail shoe. I go thru 3-4 trail shoes a year and have been running exclusively in Saucony during that time. Well over 30 pairs at this point and never had a problem. So unless all of a sudden, sometime between getting fitted and the 4th to 5th run ….my right foot shrunk… or my right foot developed a high arch …or I started to tie my right side incorrectly — then Saucony is responsible. Again, over a decade of running 4-5x a week, and I’ve never had an issue on either heal.On principle alone, I will never again buy Saucony’s product.
3.0 out of 5 stars Odd sizing
8.5 wide is a bit small, 9 is too tight, and 9 wide is too large and wide. None of these really fit me but they are good shoes nonetheless.
Great shoes!
(function(){ P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function'){ A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })() I liked them so much I bought a second pair. Good fit great value
Excelentes tenis
Me acomodaron muy bien, no están tan caros, son cómodos y tienen buen material…
Comfortable
Great insnow and tread is good
Trittfest, geländegängig, ultraleicht
... auch ein super Wanderschuh in trockenem, steinigem Gelände (aber nicht für scharfkantiges Vulkangestein).Spregung schön dezent, könnte aber gerne noch geringer sein.
Spitzen Schuh!
Relativ schmaler Schuh; für meine Füße perfekt. Uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen.
