5.0 out of 5 stars Isolated the heater core
So have in the past used the heater hose swap trick to isolate the heater core....but alas I am getting lazier and it's nice to be able to fix with a twist of a finger. This allows me to isolate my heater core and get the coldest air possible from my ac that suffers from a leaky blend door. Living in the Mojave Desert I take AC seriously and even if blend door didn't leak this can male the air a bit colder by not allowing the heater core to heat. Anyhow I'm happy it's a good solid product and feels like it will last for at least a decade.
5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I was looking for
My 2002 Ford Ranger's OEM unit is this flimsy plastic, vacuum-controlled ticking time bomb. I had two of them burst open on me in almost exactly a two-year span. With this having the same diameter barbs, it turned out to be a no-brainer. It was very easy for me to figure out which configuration was which and I went ahead and capped off the vacuum line. Living here in Florida, it's going to just stay in the bypass position most of the year anyway.
4.0 out of 5 stars Switch blocked
The switch wouldn't turn, I hit it with a hammer and now it works!!Before hammering it, disassemble the red knob first.
5.0 out of 5 stars Cold ac
Definitely a must have in the summer time my ac is definitely 10degrees cooler nice and frosty in here most days it sits at 38 degrees and before I installed this mod it took a long time for the ac box to stay cool even in 100. Degree days good quality I hope it last a long time it keeps the heat out of the ac box in the summer time
5.0 out of 5 stars works great
I installed it in my class A diesel pusher motor home, as I needed to clean out the heater core, and it worked perfectly. It should make it nice in the summer as well.I almost wish I had installed it in the back of the coach by the engine block.
5.0 out of 5 stars Ball valve
This thing is very made it's on a 7.3 powerstroke and looks like it will last a very long time be warned it is a little heavy
5.0 out of 5 stars perfect for shutting off heater core in GM trucks
used in a 2001 2500HD to shut off the heater core in the summer so the cab isnt getting blasted with hot air when its 100F out. works great, the 5/8" would probably work too but i got the 3/4 to be safe
5.0 out of 5 stars Works
