This colander is simple, sturdy, large and easy to clean.
5.0 out of 5 stars Colander
Very sturdy, easy to clean, holds a whole box's worth of pasta
5.0 out of 5 stars Good metal colander
I wanted to get a new colander as my prior plastic one was getting old and it was hard to wash in some of the webbing. I also wanted to switch to metal to avoid microplastics since I eat a lot of salad and therefore use a colander a lot. This one is light, sturdy, and easy to wash.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality
Really love the design and look of the item. Hopefully it lasts for a long time.

Best thing i could have bought. Easy to clean. Good quality. Yes I would buy again.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works great
The feet on this strainer keep it up off the bottom of the sink so the water won't pool on the bottom of it when draining. Good size, easy to use and clean, holes are smaller so spaghetti noodles won't stick out of it.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great OXO item but with one caveat
Of course this is a great colander as everything from OXO is ergonomic, attractive, and very sturdy. However, I was very disappointed in the fact that the item came with one of the worst, large stickers I've ever seen on an item. The sticker was absolutely melded to the stainless steel and took me over 30 minutes to get the sticky, gummy residue off. It came off in layers of sticker and the residue was just awful. Completely out of character for OXO that they would use such a cheap and low-quality large item sticker. I had to resort to goo-gone to get it all the way off and was a miserable process. So, buyer beware in this case.

Best stainless steel colander!
I considered America’s Test Kitchen top recommendation but I didn’t like the wider and lower design, the soldered handles and the solid ring base with no outlet for collected water. I have looked at many options but trying out 3 qt version. It was great so I bought a second 5 Qt version. The Oxo Good Grips S/S colander 5qt is superior in my opinion because: 1. It is narrower and taller so it fits deeper and/ narrower bowls and saves valuable space on countertops during food prep. 2. The handles are solid and wide and attached to the thicker rim so they are easier to lift with heavier food items like soaked rice and have a higher chance of not detaching since they are not soldered to the thinner and highly perforated bowl like the cheaper Ikea colander. 3. There are 3 wide curved feet which is a better and more stable design than the other Oxo colander reviewed by ATK. It is not a solid ring like the “top rated colander” so water does not collect below. 4. Quality of make is great with no sharp edges around perforations and thicker steel. 5. The perforations are about 2 mm and is able to drain rice well. I have drained 1.5 kg of soaked sweet rice (or mochigome/glutinous rice) in the 3 Qt version with very minimal rice leakage. The dimensions are:Ext Width With handles 32cmBowl Ext W28.1 cm Internal W24.5 cm H14.8 cmHeight of feet 8-9mmThe colander fits in a 24 cm inner diameter WMF pot and a 23.5 cm inner diamer 7qt NSF KitchenAid Bowl (from my 7qt KA Commercial Mixer). Not perfectly but OK. It is especially great for maximizing volume utilization of deeper, curved bowls with top inner diameter of 23-24 cm. The shape is very forgiving and It can also be used with narrower but lower bowls. The only flaw, if it is even a flaw, is that the base sits too low at 8-9mm above the sink, compared to the “top rated colander”. For cooked pasta, direct draining into the sink invites concerns about splashbacks. No matter how high the base is above the sink, splashbacks cannot be totally eliminated anyway. Solution? Place a low, flat dish under the colander. The advantage of a lower base is that if you are drip drying already drained food items, the lower sitting colander sits closer to the base without wasting volume.I have both the 3Qt and 5Qt colanders from OXO. Having both would set you up well for most kitchen tasks. Buy the 5Qt colander if you only have space or budget for one and forget cheaper, lesser ones.
