I was watching a famous Aussie (New Zealander maybe?) teaching chef on YouTube and saw him use this brown pot cover. I started to wonder, what in the world and why?Then it hit me! This is wood cover for any and all pots and pans you don't have a lid for! Bought this and it has made my culinary day! I got one big enough for all my pans; cast-iron Lodge, carbon-steel Matfer, cast-iron stock, etc!Love it! Not one pan boiled over when trying to have the water boil over! It stayed cool to the touch! Dries quickly! Smells fantastic by itself! This has been a great addition to my collection! Get one! You will not regret it!

Easy to clean
Condensation free lid
This lid fits well and does not allow condensation to build. Has a pleasant wood aroma. It is light and easy to use. Very handy for Wok cooking. I am very happy with this lid.

Great match for my wok
I have been using my seasoned Yosukata 13½ inch Carbon Steel Wok for a couple of years and this top is the perfect show piece for it. Since the fir top is custom made for this wok, it fits like a glove and cleans off quickly with hot water. If food splatters up onto it, a little scrub gets it off and, like wood cutting boards, bacteria are killed by the wood itself so soap is not really needed to clean it after cooking. It smelled like cedar on unpacking it from the custom made cardboard box it arrived in. The wood itself compliments the wooden handle of the wok which I really like to cook on.
