I've been drying habaneros for my spice powder for a few years. 3 lbs fresh yields maybe 5oz dried and then I had to go through the misery of grinding them. This is actually cheaper than me doing all of that myself!

The Habanero didn't deter squirrels from the bird seeds on my feeder. Apparently it's just not hot enough so I'm upgrading to Carolina Reaper. Will end up using this on my spice rack instead.

Dude, this is the best habanero! In a powder, even better! I wasn't sure about going from fresh to powder, but this stuff tastes like just the habanero, nothin' but! I use it mainly in my hot cocoa, had habanero hot cocoa in a restaurant and was hooked BUT at home the fresh habanero go slimy eewww way too soon. This powder is so good that I've started cooking with it as well. Adds that kick and one of a kind habanero flavor to any food! Love this product!

This habanero powder kicks up your spice mixes up a notch. I mix it with Tajin to make that a bit spicier. Highly recommend this habanero powder... just don't add TOO much. A little goes a long way. You can always add more later.

Yes, this will kick up the heat level on your food, but I am not a fan of the flavor. I have a pretty tried and true chili recipe and I added 1/2 Tbs of this to the pot. At first, I thought I had ruined the batch, it got this funky, sour flavor. I added a bit of Splenda and let it cook. Luckily, after about 6 more hours of cooking and simmering, the bad taste dissipated. I'm going to try it again, so there may be an edit to this review.
