5.0 out of 5 stars Lives up to the hype
Needed to replace an aging teflon non-stick pan. Of course I had been reading about the dangers of various coatings. Determined that Hexclad was the best choice for me. Then I saw the price. I'll be honest it took a while for me to make the jump. So glad I did. Started with the 10" fry pan. This pan is excellent. Good weight - not too heavy / not too light. Lives up to its non-stick promise while providing a nice searing and quick cooking surface. Clean up is a breeze and let's be honest: this thing just looks amazing. Bonus: the stainless steel heats quickly and cooks at lower temperatures than similar aluminum or ceramic options. Highly recommend.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality
My gourmet son recommended this cook an. It’s excellent. Definitely non stick, durable, useable size, & dishwasher safe. Worth the price.
5.0 out of 5 stars excellent choice for stovetop to stove cooking.
my pans were dying and burning, cheap pans, so i opted to spend some money and getting this one since the reviews of Hexclad were mostly positive. i opted for this one since it was big so it could handle small and large cooking needs. i was expecting it to be completely nonstick like a ceramic pan, and was somewhat dissapointed that it wasnt, but that quickly went away. first thing i cooked was some eggs, and although they didnt stick to the pan horrible, they did stick a little, mind you i was expecting it to be non stick like a ceramic pan where literally nothing sticks. but then i cooked some porkchops, and on my old pans, the pork chops would stick, and chicken would stick, but not in this one, i noticed that the porkchops and chicken was not sticking, so its partially non-stick, which is a tradeoff considering that you can use metal utensils on it and scubbers to clean it, which is a big no no when dealing with ceramic pans.the greatest benefit of this pan is the lid, its big and raised, and makes for a great roaster since the lid is oven safe to 400 degrees, i roasted a whole chicken in it in the oven and the lid covered it perfectly fine and i roasted a ham on the bone in the oven and the lid covered that just fine too. this has made my specialty roaster pan and aluminum foil nearly obsolete.its also nice that i can throw a pot roast on it and sear it on the stovetop and then transfer it to the oven to broil, all in one pan. my son in law uses this pan exclusively to cook everything he cooks, from large meals to simple things such as 2 eggs and some bacon, even though we have smaller pans for that purpose.after having this for a month, i turned around and bought a set of other hexclad pans of smaller sized for other cooking needs.
5.0 out of 5 stars Love this pan!
Everything about this pan is perfect! The nonstick surface is amazing. It’s very sturdy, and well made. Sure, they are more expensive than other nonstick pans, but I think these will outlast any of the competition.
5.0 out of 5 stars The elite-tier cookware category and overt prestige is deserved.
The media could not be loaded. I needed a nice pan because all of my life I used subpar, warped, scratched, and dinged-up pots and pans. I had to have something that would last the test of time, so I committed to getting a small 8-inch size Hexclad pan. However, the Hexclad website was sales-pitchy, wheel-ly and deal-ly, and the shipping was so high to Honolulu (where I live) that one pot w/lid and one pan w/lid was over $400.00. Yeah, not happening, even with it’s diamond dust coating. Having Prime shipping, I turned to Bolo to see if they could keep my aspirations of having great cookware (and by extension, amazing home cooked gourmet dishes) viable…. It was available, reasonable for what I expected, and when it arrived…. Oh my…. Out of the package, gorgeous. Expect breathtaking shock from seeing the black and silver hexagonal pattern alone. Holding the handle was comfortable, it was more hefty and solid than I imagined. Almost an intimidating presence, indeed. I think I had paused for a moment to take in the absolute perfection before me, I don’t really know, because the next half an hour felt so surreal with the washing, drying, heating/ seasoning with vegetable oil for 2 mins (as per first time use instructions), washing again, and then cooking a spam and eggs dish. The eggs, over-easy, needed some oil as in my starstruck stupor, I had foregone the canola oil spray. I must report that I scraped the egg off of the non-stick surface, and I scraped hard…. but, no damage! This thing really must be made of diamonds. After spraying, I finished cooking the egg with no issues. I also scrambled another set and fried SPAM (local Hawaii cuisine). The cooking was easy, and even the washing of the pan was easy. In conclusion, only a handful of things can say they are virtually indestructible and last for life. These Hexclad cookware pots and pans are one of those things, and the only test I have yet to give it is the test of time. For now, I am thrilled at having this small pan in my kitchen. I remember thinking to myself that this must be what all the fuss was about from the reviews I read online. I need to be one of them: So here is my experience… and now my thoughts are…I must have more.
4.0 out of 5 stars Not as stick proof as I expected
This is a beautiful skillet. Clean up is easy and it's dishwasher safe too. Overall, I love this brand. I have several pieces and will add more. The only problem I have is that they are not quite as stick proof as I expected. Don't expect food to slide out like the old teflon, but, like I said, it does clean up easy.
5.0 out of 5 stars It’s a new pan
All pans work well initially The real test is how it cooks and cleans a year from now. My first few weeks using the pan left me smiling. Nothing stuck. It cleaned quickly and was ready to use again in short order I have fried baco, eggs, and steak in it The steak was delicious
5.0 out of 5 stars He clad 10” frying pan
The Hex clad pan is very well made with a great nonstick finish for most foods. I have seared steaks, chops, chicken and melted cheese/tortillas in this pan without sticking. Eggs require some oil and a gentle nudge of a spatula due to sticking, but I may have had the pan too hot. It is important to not overheat this type of pan for how well it conducts heat. Clean up has been easy with no scrubbing required. I am very pleased with this pan.
Best pan invented!
This is the best pan I have ever used. I have used very well known brand pans and these are by far the best. Everything just cooks better in them, nothing sticks. They clean up so quickly. It’s hard to explain but everything just tastes better in these pans and sauce pans, they are really fantastic. I have bought them all.
Excellent Non Stick Pan
I wanted a larger non stick frying pan and decided on this one. It was pricey but is very good quality. Make sure to season as directed by the package insert. I did so and have used it many times now cooking eggs, chicken and pork. It heats pretty evenly for such a large pan and is easy to clean afterwards. The added dome lid is also very useful and is also of great quality. To be sure, it's expensive but after many uses I would say it is definitely worth the extra $.
Pan with lifetime warranty.
A terrific pan. It will take a few years before I can truly recommend it.
You don’t have to scrub, easy to clean.
Great for two people, fry eggs and bacon in a jiffy. We fried a couple of small tenderloin steaks last Sunday, they required very hot butter. Still no scrubbing necessary. Love this little frying pan.!!!
Love my HexClad 12” frying pan!
Bought this to replace an older frying pan. It’s easy to use, cooks well and cleans up easy! The pan is very sturdy and comes with a vented lid. I would definitely buy again if ever needed and would possibly buy the whole set of frying pans.
