5.0 out of 5 stars Great gift for a science kiddo in your life
I bought it as a gift for a science-loving kid and he has a blast using it, can easily make it function and use the slides and enjoys his experiments. It seems like a great educational value and so far it is sturdy enough to withstand a 2 yro sister.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect birthday gift
Perfect gift for my nephew. Of all the toys he went to this one first. It was so east to use it came with tweezers, specimen dish pipette. He made his own slides too. Instructions were easy to understand It came with rocks and minerals. Very durable product.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and educational
My 4 year old loves playing “lab”. At her age, it requires some guidance and supervision during play but this is a great toy for introducing a microscope and scientific concepts.

3.0 out of 5 stars Underwhelmed even for a kids microscope
I know that NAT GEO is basically selling me basically a crappy fisher price microscope. Now its around 40 dollars so i don't exactly expect greatness, but just completely underwhelmed. My daughter is 5. She like playing with the buttons and nobs, but other than that lost interest quickly. It includes a few premade slides that at any magnification didn't exactly blow her hair back, and the rocks ( they're minerals marie!) are cute but fall short. The focusing nob are clunky and not very precise, was even difficult for me to get many of the slides to look remotely interesting. For a microscope targeting young kids this is a miss for me. There are other kits that come with more for the same price and after using this for about 10 minutes we boxed it back up for return. So is it terrible? Not really. Will it hold then attention of a kid under 7? Not likely. It did come with blank slides so you can make your own, but there was something about the whole set that just felt cheap. And i get it, its a microscope for a child (any kid over 7 or 8 would like something a bit more advanced) that cost 40 bucks. But if it were me i would have included some fun little extras that didnt make you go, ok I guess thats it" after 5 or 10 minutes.so yeah, 3 out of 5. Don't expect much
5.0 out of 5 stars Nice set
Nice set, good quality for a child’s science tool
4yo niece loves it
my 4yo niece loved this and it super fun to look at different nature things.
Limitado
Es tan primitivo y poco útil, que lo único que provoca en un niño es aburrimiento. La luz es mínima y cualquier niño tiene dificultades para enfocar. Un juguete que usará cinco minutos. =(
Good Toy to aid learning for Children
The initial setup was a little long and takes some time to understand how the microscope works, considering that it is very similar to the actual one. But once that part is done, then it is all fun for the kids.My kid loves putting everything under the microscope, even pieces of bread, her hair and every small thing lying around. It does spark an interest in kids about sciences.
A bit average
It's okay for a young child, but not the quality I'd expect for something with a Nat Geo brand on it.
