As the season progressed, my skis and snowboard ended up getting slow, as well as I got a gouge in the bottom of my board. I bought this kit to do the repairs myself, and I was not disappointed. Once you do the waxing a couple times, it becomes easier and easier. Everything fits wonderfully in a small case, And I know I saved a lot of money by doing the repairs myself

I am not an avid skier, but when I go, I like to glide effortlessly.My skis were in dire need of a tune-up, and that goes double for my kids'. Over the course of a single evening, I tuned up four pairs, getting better and more efficient with each.And the results were night and day. The next day, when we hit the slopes, our skis felt brand new.This kit came with everything I needed, it is compact, the instruction are good and everything just worked. One tip - make sure that you give the iron time to come up to temperature before using (it only takes 5 mins) so that the wax gets a good 'drip' pattern that you can go and smooth out.And make sure you put down a drop cloth unless you want to have wax all over your floors :-)From now on, this will be a annual or semi-annual exercise!

I like Outdoor Masters products and I needed to wax 4 snowboards this year so bought this kit. It comes with everything you need and using it was simple. The wax it comes with is small but enough for couple boards. The plastic wax scrapper lost its edge after the 3 board but I was able to sharpen it and it was fine. The iron was great and even got to use the p-Tex. Love having the different brushes also. All around a great kit for the price.

Had everything I needed to get started.The iron has be great, really smooth to spread the wax and holds a steady temperature. The plastic scraper is as good as any I've owned. The included wax is perfect for hot wax cleaning. The brushes are really good quality. I used both colors of PEX and both repairs have held.

With three sets of skis and one snowboard in our family, I was determined to save some money this year by learning how to tune and wax our gear. This kit made it easy! It includes everything you need, including P-Tex for repairing minor base damage. After watching a couple of YouTube videos, I was ready to begin.I started with my own skis, and took my time; I was able to repair, edge, and wax in about 90 minutes. After I got the technique down, the other skis went much faster. With my son's snowboard, I probably could have used the included wax scraper, but it would have taken multiple passes. To make it a bit easier, I bought a OneBall 12-inch scraper from Bolo, which could cover the entire width of the board. Then I walked him through the process of edging and waxing, so now he can do it himself any time he wants.In summary, I think this is a great kit for tuning your gear at home!

Pretty complete kit. I don’t snowboard as often as I used to, but figure to get something to help keep my old board ready to go.The iron makes a big different, I had a regular iron for this, but this is much better.I like the various brushes to get a nice buffed finish. Pretty happy with it overall.

This was an epic find. I have used this kit multiple times now and it is great for skis. I wish it had a better file guide and a better iron. The temperature on the iron is not accurate at all. But I just watch the wax and see how it reacts. Overall, this kit has everything that you need for tuning and waxing. I would purchase extra wax when I bought this because it only come with small blocks of wax for 3 different temperatures.

For me, this is the first waxing kit I've bought. It has everything you need to get started, and I'm sure it has the things you'd need even at a more advanced level! The instructions it came with were also really nice and helpful.

Really practical
Used it way more than I thought I would. Kept the whole family’s winter gear in check. Great value and works fine. Takes some practice, but it’s rewarding when you get great results. The only thing in the kit that felt really really cheap was the apron, but I don’t know if you would care, most aren’t buying the kit for the apron (I assume).
Good product
I am very satisfied with this kit. The iron was reliable and keep temperature easily; the brushes are good quality and the files are adequate. I can't be sure about the edge tuner because I am not proficient at tuning skis or boards but I will assume you will need an upgrade if your looking to do a real quality job? Better wax is preferred but what comes with is fine. I waxed three sets of skis and a snowboard and found the set to work very well.
Lots of stuff for what you pay
I am just learning how to repair my skis after I purchased this kit but most of the important items for basic ski repairs appeared to be included with this kit with the exception of a gummy stone (but then the kit may be $20 more if this was included). I waxed a pair and also p-tex repaired another pair so I suppose I've saved $80 so far and would get the cost of the entire kit back if I work on another pair of skis. I did not include the cost for my own elbow grease though because there's certainly many hours of that so please take this into consideration before you buy these repair kits.
