5.0 out of 5 stars Can’t live without this
Works beautifully. The bristles grab the hair so well so that you can create tension. I use this to touch up two and three day old hair. It makes my hair look freshly washed. I also use it to style my freshly washed hair but only after it’s about 85% dry to minimize drying time. The high setting is extremely hot so I use the lower setting with a cool shot at the end to set. I’ve used many other versions of this air brush but this is the absolute best. It’s a bit noisy but no more than usual. Plenty of power.
5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!!
I honestly don't leave reviews, but felt I should leave one for this dryer brush. I'm a new mom and honestly don't have time to do my hair, it's always up. I've had long hair for years and recently cut my hair short. I have wavy hair with occasional friz. I've never been coordinated enough to use a blow dryer with round brush, and honestly my arms are short so it was always a hassle for me to try to get the salon look with a blow dryer and brush. Plus, I get hot and sweat easily so trying to use a blow dryer and brush separately never worked out great for me.I really wish I had gotten one of these dryer brushes sooner. This little gadget is awesome and dries my hair so fast with a great blow out look. The heat does get pretty high so low heat setting worked great for me. I waited till my hair was about 75% air dried and used a heart protectant spray. It was so quick and easy! I haven't gotten down the movement to get more curls with this and wanted more so I went back in with my curling wand. I would definitely recommend for long or short hair. Absolutely love it and a great purchase, especially for the price.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but not perfect
I already had the other Revlon 1-step volumizer and hair dryer brush and was a big fan, but once I cut my hair shorter (it's now a shoulder-length bob), it didn't work very well for me anymore. My dream product was an old (cheap!) Babyliss hair dryer brush I bought around 30 years ago on a trip to London; I've kept it around because it's useful for travel in 220-240v countries. It was a great styling tool -- had a 1" barrel size and removable brush top so you could rough dry your hair just using the hot air out of the nozzle before styling it with the blow drying brush. Unfortunately, I dropped and broke it on a recent trip to Peru and so I was motivated to see if I could find a replacement suitable for everyday use in the US. Thought this Revlon 1-step root booster round brush might be the one! And it IS good, but it's not everything. First, the barrel size is still a little too large at 1.5"; I think a 1" barrel would be better. Second, it would be great to be able to remove the brush head for a rough dry (and maybe to be able to put on different attachments like a larger or smaller brush barrel or even a metal curling iron attachment, which would be heated by the hot air. Third, this dryer is insanely LOUD. In order to protect my ears, I've taken to using earplugs while I use this dryer. I don't feel the need to do that with any of my other blow dryers. Fourth, as others have noted, it does get extremely hot. The "hi" heat setting is almost unusable unless you want to fry your hair. I use this only on the "lo" heat setting, and then only after a rough dry with another hair dryer, and even the low setting is pretty hot. Lastly, the "cool" setting isn't very cool, and because the setting switch twists around the bottom of the dryer, it can be a little awkward to change the setting from a heat setting to a cool setting while the brush is in your hair (which is obviously when you'd most like to do it). A "cool shot" button placed further up the barrel would be much more user-friendly.All this said, it's a pretty decent blow-dry brush for a moderate price. It adds volume and I can finish drying my hair whilst styling it at the same time, which is good. If Revlon were to address all the issues described above, it would be an AMAZING tool (and I would pay more money for it, too)!
5.0 out of 5 stars Works amazing!!
This has been my go to hare appliance!! if you know a good blow out technique/method this product will work magic for you!! The temperatures are perfect and does not get so hot to the point you are almost burning yourself!! It’s perfect temperature for your needs. It’s easy to use and worth the money
3.0 out of 5 stars Deafening!
I really wanted to love this dryer, as it is the perfect barrel size and reasonably priced. However, the motor noise is unbearable, and it screeches in my ears. I tried using earplugs, which does work to dampen the noise, but I really shouldn’t have to do this. Also, I agree with other reviews that said the temperature is too hot. I am returning this one and will look for one that has separate temperature and speed settings and doesn’t sound like a banshee. That may be asking too much, but I’m going to keep looking.
5.0 out of 5 stars The best quality-price choice
It works better than I expected, the two modes are enough for me, I would improve the grip control since it is very big.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for short hair!
I bought this as a replacement for my old John Frieda hot air brush which is no longer available. See photo for comparison. They both are advertised as 1-1/2 inch but the Revlon diameter includes the brush and the John Frieda measurement is for just the barrel diameter. My complaint for both is on the high setting they get way too hot but I find the low setting to work very well for me with the Revlon on my short hair. I do appreciate the longer barrel because I can use it more easily in my left hand and the smaller diameter works better on my short hair.
4.0 out of 5 stars A great option for a hair dryer
During the pandemic, I bought the original Revlon One Step Volumizer. It has a 2-1/2" diameter. It worked very well. But, I got my hair cut shorter, and it really was too big to do a good job on my hair. This one is a smaller diameter. I've just used it once, yesterday, and it did the job I expected. It has a powerful fan/motor and dries my hair quickly. Gives it a nice curve. The one thing I don't care for much is it seems to use the same handle/motor as in the larger brush. That makes this a bit heavy and clumsy. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. But it's still workable, IMHO.
Maravilhoso
Adorei! Vale a compra!
Hair blower
Amazing at straightening fine curly hair. Best blower I have ever bought.
gran producto
facil de usar, muy util y buena calidad de material
Works very well
This brush is bigger than I expected as it seems smaller in the listing photo, but all these brushes seem to be huge for some reason. The good thing about this brush is that although the handle is large, the brush itself is a sensible usable size. I am replacing an existing hair dryer brush as it is just so big that I have no control when I dry my hair. That is not the case with this brush. The controls are simple to use and I can style my hair as well as drying it using this brush, and I am happy to recommend it.Edit: 22/9 Believe me when I say I am a 5 minute and go hair styler!! and having used this brush regularly for some time now, I can honestly say I get the same results my hairdresser does when she blow dries my hair. I have total control. I section my hair off with clips, dry a clump, chuck it in a velcro roller and by the time I've done my whole head and got dressed, I take the rollers out and my hair looks great and I rarely need to use the tongs on my hair so my hair feels in better condition. This has made such a difference to me that I am buying one of these brush dryers for my daughter and daughter in law at Christmas. A real game changer too is using a vented hair brush, I now have a natural static free hair style and I would recommend you get one of those to use with this brush dryer. I doubt you will be disappointed with the results.
