5.0 out of 5 stars Works well
I bought this in order to start and move a 1971 Ford 302. I was concerned that something this low cost would work but I have been very surprised and pleased with it. I have about 1200 miles on it now, no issues, easy to tune but ran right out of the box. I'm not using any pressure regulator with it, fuel pump on the 302 is stock mechanical. If I find an original carb for the vehicle I'll probably switch to that, but for now I have plenty of time to look for one as this one works well.
5.0 out of 5 stars 1979 Ford F700 370 FT
Very very good carburetor, the float height was set perfectly from the factory on mine I don’t remember if the transfer slots were but that’s easy to adjust. Runs like a brand new truck with this thing I haven’t fine tuned it because I don’t have a vaccum gauge but with 1.5 turns out the truck starts and idles and drives perfectly, this thing breathed new life into my truck and for the cheap price I paid for it the build quality was impressive. I would highly recommend buying one of these for your project especially if you’re not trying to break the bank.
5.0 out of 5 stars Runs perfectly!
While this carb never came on a Jeep 258 straight six, it was a popular swap in the old days. I removed a wore out 1100 motorcraft carb and installed this unit after modifying the throttle linkage. I was pleasantly surprised how well it ran out of the box. Lite choke adjustment, set the idle and go for a drive. No caugh, no hiccups, or stalls. It’s just happy like a new car. 1975 J10 Jeep. Holley base adaptor, modified carb linkage to make it work.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works!
My 1966 f100 is up and running!Cost savings is great! This saved me over $200 to have my old one rebuilt.Drawbacks for me were my old one had a manual choke. This is an electric choke.Seems to be ok for now.Plus it a port for a thermal tube?Perfect fit for my truck! Thanks!
4.0 out of 5 stars Power valve issue
Overall, decent carb for the price. Fit my 78 ford .400. Ran good at first... like someone else reviewed my power valve diaphragm was shot after about 5 miles of operation. Replaced and seems fine so far. The other negative of carb is there is no vacuum advance port as factory had. The additional ports are below the butterflies so they create maximum vacuum all the time. I just capped off vacuum on distributor, runs fine.
1.0 out of 5 stars Stopped Working the next morning
After installing it for the first time, I started imediately and did a slow paced 2 miles fine and fixed some issues the previous caused. The next morning I tried to start the car, but it didn't stay on unless I stepped on the gas, which led to black smoking from the exhaust and very white smoke from the carburetor itself. Who know if it was just my luck or whatever, but I chose to give this product a chance, and I get what I paid for. This really let me down, especially after giving me some hope at first. Money down the drain.
3.0 out of 5 stars Power valve leaked
Had to make a base gasket as it did not quite fit a 1966 289 intake manifold. Bolted the carb. on and it started fine but after a short time it began to run ruff and lots of black smoke out the exhaust pipe. Shut the engine off and the fuel drained out of the fuel bowl into the engine and it was flooded. Took the carb. off and found that the power valve was torn. I went to the local parts store and bought a new power valve and bolted the carb. back on and it runs fine now. Had to tinker with the linkage a little and rework the air cleaner as well. But for $90.00 it still seems to be a good buy. Hope it lasts.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great carb
Put it on my 76 f150 filled bowl and fired right up
Works great on a 1978 f250 351M
1978 ford f250 with a 351M.Was next day delivery. Had a hard time finding someone to rebuild my existing that sat for 4 years. This one is an exact replica without the names. I read lots of reviews on cheaper options but picked this one for the better reviews. It came in good shape and very shiny! The 2 brass screws on the bottom will need to be checked. One was set close, the other was about 6 turns out. I turned them all the way in and then 1-3/4 turns out. Truck started very well once it filled with gas. I've read reviews about the choke needing set but mine seems fine. I had to swap out the heat plate so I could fit my air cleaner and the rod for the cleaner needs to be reused.5 stars for no leaks and only needing basic adjustments to make it usable.
Es lo que necesito !!!!
Le quedó muy bien esa pieza al moto
It's a good carburator
It's actually a pretty good carb. It weighs a little less than my original motocraft but it's well made. It started up right out of the box but after taking the time to tune it, my truck purrrs like a kitten. The float hight was already set perfectly too. Get yourself a vacuum gauge to set the perfect idle mixture.
Funciona muy bien
Me gustó es una réplica nueva y funcional
Fit , and FE360 Ford ran perfect
However had to make a conversion to a manual choke using parts of the original 2100. Plug a couple of unused vent lines and a few other mods. Otherwise this is a perfect replacement!
