5.0 out of 5 stars Great price.
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } I bought this to replace my 30-year-old meter. Nicely made, easy to read. Meter came with nice leads. It came with a non-contact voltage tester. Also came with a GCFI tester. A very nice kit. Well worth the money.
5.0 out of 5 stars Stay safe and use this before doing any wiring
Great value for this kit, I used it for switching out my wall switches for smart ones and it helped me make sure power was off for safety to continue as well as identify the neutral wire. For some reason my builder used tan wires instead of the standard white so I really had to be sure. Voltage reads good and it functions well. One thing that would be nice is a Legend/Key on the back to identify the symbols for quick reference for non electricians.
5.0 out of 5 stars A dang good multimeter for the home handyman
With the ability to handle up to 600v of AV, as well as DC and Continuous currents, this multimeter is a great tool for the home handyman and for assessing issues in most home appliances. I used it to confirm that my thermostat wasn't receiving power, then again to confirm that a fuse had blown and once more to ensure that the new fuse was intact. Then I used it to test a bunch of batteries- It's come in handy several times already. The kickstand on the back is handy for when your hands are full! The included outlet tester and low voltage sensing pen are the icing on the cake- This is just a great kit at a great price. Before you hurt yourself, grab one today!
4.0 out of 5 stars Solid kit for DIY electrical troubleshooting around the house
This is a great kit to have around the house to help diagnose electrical issues and keep yourself safe. Each item works well and should be suitable for most home DIY users. Yes the multimeter could have more functionality, but it has everything you need for home use. Can't go wrong with the Klein brand.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product. Easy to use.
Great product. Very useful. Easy to use even for non-tradesmen.
5.0 out of 5 stars Dad loved it!
Should have seen dad’s face! He had no idea I knew he even wanted one! Plus I got it for a great price and it came really fast! Even during Christmas! Love it! He says it works like a charm! Perfect size and super accurate.
5.0 out of 5 stars It's a nice set and takes regular AAA batteries.
Good little set, easy to read. It uses 2xaaa batteries for both the meter and circuit tester. the knocks would be not having a case and using a Phillips #1 for the battery compartment. There's plenty of room to use a #2 screw.
5.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive and Reliable Electrical Test Kit for Professionals and DIY Enthusiasts
The Klein Tools 69149P Electrical Test Kit is an excellent all-in-one solution for anyone looking to tackle electrical diagnostics at home or in a professional setting. With a solid reputation built over more than 160 years of experience, Klein Tools delivers a premium-quality kit that stands out for its performance, ease of use, and versatility. I’ve had the chance to use it for a few weeks now, and I’m truly impressed with the features it offers, especially given the convenience of having multiple essential tools in one compact set. What’s Included in the Kit:This kit comes with three primary tools:MM300 Manual-Ranging Digital MultimeterNCVT1P Non-Contact Voltage TesterRT105 Receptacle TesterAdditionally, it includes test leads for the multimeter and batteries for both the voltage tester and the multimeter, which is a thoughtful touch that saves you time when setting up.MM300 Digital Multimeter:The MM300 multimeter is a versatile and reliable tool for measuring AC/DC voltage, DC current, and resistance. It supports up to 600V AC/DC voltage, 10A DC current, and 2MOhms resistance, making it suitable for a wide range of electrical tasks. The multimeter’s manual-ranging feature allows for precise adjustments based on what you're testing. For DIYers and professionals alike, the ability to perform multiple tests with one device is incredibly handy. The continuity testing function is another fantastic feature of the MM300. It offers both visual and audible indicators, ensuring that you can easily identify whether there’s continuity in a circuit. This makes troubleshooting electrical issues significantly more efficient.NCVT1P Non-Contact Voltage Tester:The NCVT1P Non-Contact Voltage Tester is a standout feature of this kit. With this tester, you can detect AC voltage in cables, outlets, circuit breakers, light fixtures, and wires without the need for direct contact. This makes it incredibly safe and convenient to use when identifying live wires, especially in tight or hard-to-reach areas. When no voltage is detected, the tester shows a green LED to indicate it's working. If it detects voltage, the LED turns red, and an audible tone sounds, providing immediate feedback. The tester works for voltages between 50 to 1000V AC, making it a reliable option for a wide variety of electrical systems.RT105 Receptacle Tester:The RT105 Receptacle Tester is a great tool for identifying common wiring faults in electrical outlets. It can detect open ground, open hot, open neutral, and hot/ground reversed wiring issues. The tester uses LED lights to clearly show the wiring configuration, ensuring that you can quickly spot problems that could potentially cause electrical hazards. However, it is worth noting that the RT105 does not identify more complex wiring issues, such as multiple hot wires or a poor-quality ground. For most household and basic electrical tasks, though, this tester is more than sufficient.Durability and Quality:As expected from Klein Tools, the quality of the tools in this kit is top-notch. The multimeter feels sturdy in hand, and the non-contact voltage tester has a robust build that instills confidence while in use. The receptacle tester is equally well-made, with clear and easily visible indicators. Klein Tools is known for manufacturing high-quality tools that professionals trust, and this kit is no exception.Convenience and Ease of Use: Each tool in this set is incredibly user-friendly. The multimeter’s manual ranging is intuitive, and the large, easy-to-read display ensures you can make accurate readings with minimal effort. The voltage tester is straightforward to operate, requiring only a simple scan of the area you wish to test. The receptacle tester has clear indicators that make it easy to understand wiring issues at a glance. This ease of use makes the kit suitable for both professionals and DIY enthusiasts. The inclusion of test leads for the multimeter and batteries for the tester is a bonus, and the tools are all compact enough to store easily in a toolbox or on a workbench.Value for Money:The Klein Tools 69149P Electrical Test Kit provides excellent value for money. NOT for the UK market…
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } Whilst the multimeter and tester should be fine, the socket tester is NOT UK spec. It shouldn’t be sold on the UK site as suitable. Bought from the Klein store direct so expected better. Too late to return for exchange so close to Xmas 2024
