First I want to start with the fact that I frequently dabble with scorpion, ghost, even Carolina pepper sauces. So, when I say mild heat, it may not be mild to everyone. The flavor is what I was hoping for. The garlic, shallots, and onion came through nicely. Went with this because the ingredients were what I wanted to try making on my own, but I wanted to try it before I made it myself. But I would by this again in a pinch for the price. Very good.

Ive never bought a chili oil before so I didn't know what to expect, but this exceeded any possible expectations I had. I saw an idea to add chili oil to egg drop soup, and the flavor, texture, and heat level with just the right amount of kick added so much to the dish. 10/10 recommend, I can't wait to find other recipes to try it in.

This is the best crisp that I have ever tried. I always look forward to adding this to any dish I've prepared to give it an extra kick. It's not overwhelming with the texture and the spice level is perfect. I would definitely buy these again.

So good— for all the culinary reasons listed in all reviews. Adds spicy crunch and some serious heat. Love. I feel kinda petty then saying the packaging bothers me. It’s a little thing but no matter how I try to be neat taking out tiny spoonfuls, the jar and lid get greasy on the outside. Maybe it’s just the nature of the product, some oil is going to get in the threading at the top of the jar, then into the lid when you screw it back on. I ended up pouring it all into a deeper mason jar which helped. It needs to be stirred before using, the deeper jar helps. Would definitely buy again.

I was skeptical at first because of the price, but it’s honestly so good and a little goes a long way. It’s not too spicy, but adds a nice kick and a crunchy texture to meals. It might sound odd, but I put this on hard boiled eggs and it really takes them up a notch. I don’t think I could eat them without it anymore.

Love this little bottle of flavor! I am not a spicy loving person but I bought it thinking maybe I should be more of a spicy loving person. This is not too spicy but just enough to wake up the taste buds. It is a little addictive and seems to compliment everything is goes on. I will buy it again, if for no other reason than to be able to say, "Would you like some Momofuku on that?"

It didn't have a strong flavor like I thought it'd have. The way it looks you'd think it would have a punch of flavor, but it's very reminiscent of a verrry diluted/muted mapo tofu-ish flavor. I tried it over soft boiled eggs, chicken tacos, and instant ramen. It somewhat kinda sorta elevated the dish, but nothing to write home about. Wasn't very spicy either and I thought they could have kicked it up a notch in that department. Well, now that I have an idea of what chili oil tastes like and can check that off my list, I don't think I'll be getting it again in any variety.
Damaged seal
safety seal was broken when it arrived.it's a glass jar with a metal lid, the center was popped up when it arrived. most jars indicate if lid pops up do not use.this is unfortunate because I've been waiting to try this product. it was fairly expensive and I just got it finally on sale. which was still a high price.this product is not eligible for return.

I received my 3pack of the Original Momofuku Chili Crunch last night! Now I have half a jar to go on the first one, given that I ate straight from the jar the first half!!! I have had many Chili Oils and so called Chili Crunch before and None of them hold a candle to this Beauty. Came really well packaged and I had a hard time getting through all the inside wrapping as well, Kudo's Momofuku for making sure the product was safe and unbroken, the tops were sealed as well! Now my only problem is "Do I HAVE ENOUGH?" I think I need MORE!!! Yes, it is high on the $$$ but, Seriously, Well worth the price. Trust ME! Try it and thank me Later! The Oil to Crunchy ratio is the Best I have ever come across, not greasy, thin or funky. Stir it well as most of the ingredients' will fall to the bottom, so dig deep and stir well, then try not to eat the whole jar!!! Yuppers! I Need More of this! I thought about gifting one, but nah! It's ALL MINE!!!! LOL!!!
