5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Product Heavy Duty for Sure Honest Review
I was originally going to order the normal Topsky standing desk , but right when i was about to finish my order another option appeared for a more heavy duty version . So i went ahead and purchased this one since i was going to be using a solid wood butcher block style counter as the table top .I was very impressed with the quality of the standing desk, materials are very sturdy and feel stout . Doesn't feel like cheap thin metal .The installation was pretty straight forward , i can say the manual is not a specific model manual but more of a generic manual for Topsky standing desk legs. Either way it was pretty simple to assemble once you get rolling. I recommend having two people to make it easier since moving the parts around and aligning the holes with the heavy parts is not super easy .The metal finish is somewhat of a Satin black finish, it is not glossy nor matte which is perfect for me .I had read in the reviews on the other Topsky model that the wiring was way to short for the controller , on this one all cables were long enough for easy install and plenty of length . Just make sure to plan out correctly in the install before you screw everything in .Performance wise , i have only had it a day or two but it is working perfectly . The motors are super quiet and smooth operation. It easily moves my Butcher block countertop and everything on it with ease.Im about 5'8" and when i raise it to a standing position the table or legs barely wiggle from side to side. at the moment my table measures 64 inches and i have the legs set 2 inches from the corner on each side. I can imagine this helps on reducing the wobble motion. I raised to its max setting which definitely is to tall for me but even at its highest setting it still feels pretty solid.Packaging was very good , all parts were individually foam protected and the company gives you plenty of mounting hardware .One note on the installation, in the manual it does not mention to insert the hole guides to help you place the screws for the extension rails. I later found that viewing the video they provide in the manual , it mentions the use of the guides. Please use them, it will make guiding the screws a lot easier for install .I will update in a couple of months to see how it is still operating.
5.0 out of 5 stars It's awesome! Get it.
I used the heavier duty legs to support a 74 inch by 25 by 1.75 inch butcher block slab desk. It was even better than expected! Lowers to about 29 inches and raises to 49 inches, it's fairly quiet, fast enough, and very stable. Assembly was easy and directions were clear and made sense to me. The only thing that was unclear was what kind of fastners to use for a wood top because the directions indicated using a machine bolt that would not work in wood. So I did by some number 12 flat head wood screws about 1 inch long and that worked fine. Organizing the wires and boxes was simple and the only thing I had to "think " about was how to mount the actually power/transformer box to the desk because it has no mounts built in. I ended up using double sided sticky tape on the power box and I stuck to the underside of the wood desk near the right leg. Works great no complaints and I wish I had bought one sooner!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great desk
So far this has been a great purchase. Easy to put together though i recommend just giving one of the assembly videos on YouTube a watch first. I used the Topysky desk top with this and everything lined up well. great value.over all i have a dual monitor arm attached to the desk [added a 1/2 inch 8x6 inch piece of wood in the monitor arm clamp to help spread the wight] and my pc set on the desk. it is really stable even at a high setting. There is a little wobble but what you would expect from a and standing desk. would defiantly recommend.
5.0 out of 5 stars Easiest install ever!! Surpass expectations!!
At first, I was a little concerned about this product, after weeks of reviewing others I decided to purchase the latest version, and so far I am extremely happy. I only ordered the base as I already have a countertop, as noted on the images and video. I have four screens Two are 21 inch and the other two are 24 inch, desk goes up and down with no problem. Very quiet and super sturdy, no wobble. definitely will recommend, actually, already did to my colleagues. It comes with everything you need to set up just make sure you plan how you gonna run cables under it and before you secure cables make sure they are long enough for when you raise the desk you don’t want to be pulling any hardware equipment
4.0 out of 5 stars kind of a life changer
I use this with a music studio rig (i.e. lots of rack gear, speakers, etc) and it's rock solid. Smooth transport up and down. If you have a heavy setup, this seems like the right choice. Having a desk that can raise and lower is amazing, and as a 6'3" person, it's been great for my back.EDIT : it has gone through some gnarly glitches. One of the motors locked for some reason, and all the reset procedures did not work, resulting in my desk (and all its contents) nearly toppling over to one side. The manual is difficult to find. It took about an hour of work (and doing some leg presses to hold it up) until i was able to get it down by swapping cables one by one. Then it still thought there was a collision ongoing, so I had to disable to gyro function (via a small button on the power block), which may have been what died in the first place. It's working again, but I am dubious of the longevity of the electronics at this point. So 4/5 instead of 5.
5.0 out of 5 stars Nearly flawless
VERY well packaged to prevent damage during shipment. I found no damage to any surfaces from shipping. Sturdy, heavy duty construction. Quite easy to assemble (upside down). There was exactly one minor manufacturer defect: a single screw hole that is off by about 2mm, but after all the bolts are in and tightened the table is level and balanced. I did have a LOT of extra screws and bolts. The motors operate smoothly and quietly. Plenty of range of motion - the table goes far lower than I need and far higher than I need, so it should work for nearly any height individual. I used butcher block countertop for the table top and it looks great! I would buy again.
Just what I needed
I've been working from home for the last 2 plus years. Before I worked in the office. I took for granted the Office ergonomic chair and unfortunately bought a non-ergonomic for working at home.I also decided to make my own desk from 2x4 lumber and other softwood. Nothing nice, but very functional to the sizing I wanted. I added monitor arms so I could maximize the adjustment of the monitors - and clear my desk top for papers and keyboard / mouse.I spend many hours per day, sitting at the desk and started to notice my body posture. It was very poor.I had been very tired and fatigued from the day, where I read on the internet health and safety government website in Canada and the US that it actually matters how you sit.I bought a new ergonomic chair from ULINE.ca and then looked for a desk.I found this motorized set of legs. This was excellent, I could keep my hard worked on desk but just replace the legs.I bought this product, and it's worked out extremely well.I just removed the legs and pushed the assembled product under the desk top.The product is great, not only can I make small adjustments to the height whilst sitting at the desk but I can stand at the desk top too with very little effort in lifting the desk up or down. The motor is very quiet and very smooth. A little bit expensive for me compared to 2x4 lumber legs, but I'm thinking of my health with poor circulation to my legs - which I can now stand or sit BUT AT THE RIGHT height to match MY BODY (Arms right angles, back straight, knees right angles. All just like the health and safety sites spoke about. I'm very pleased with this, albeit expensive with the new chair too. But I don't want health issues from sitting incorrectly. I've sat down to work for the last 20 plus years.Thank you manufacturer for making this product available and for the quality of the lift/lowering. I have a totally custom setup to my exact body dimensions - well I can adjust it anytime to make it so.I can't wait to use it this week at work. I started with the chair, the desk top second, and finally the monitor height - that seems to stay constant sitting or standing. I will add more as the time goes on.
3 stage and wide
This 3 stage standing desk is the best bang for the buck. Extends for about 68” and works great for a 6 feet desk. Very smooth and sturdy. a slight wobble when its at its top height but I have heard this wobble exists in 3000$ desk too
Great frame for the price!
The media could not be loaded. It says heavy duty and suitable up to 136kg, so I had to try it with my ~73kg (plus 7kg screen) for fun.I made a custom, thick table top from fir (probably another 20kg). The motors don't struggle, it is just slightly wobbly at highest level (show me a frame that is more stable).I set up the bottom and top limiter to just hover over the bed, so there is no collision (it would cause error, so I'd have to reset).I set up the three memories, first is the night-stand mode just touching the bedlinen, the second is the sitting height and the third is the standing height.I love it soo much!Con: there is no cable management for the motors, and since other things have been more important, I haven't looked up any useful items to manage the cables since I purchased 3 months ago...Despite of lack of cable management, 5stars!
Super Desk Frame
I could not resist , to write this review, same day I received the product. The Frame is super sturdy, heavy duty and operation is so silent.Though I donot need this much heavy duty, but once assembled, I enjoyed its silent movement.Just please be careful the weight of the frame is 25kgs approx, so I found little difficult, to carry , after the assembly is complete.I would recommend this frame for work..
