We looked at many clocks until we found this one. We really wanted one that had moving gears, and this clock is so mesmerizing, I could look at it for hours (no pun intended). The gears don't make much sound, but we took the advice of another review and reversed the motion simply by holding the center gear until it reversed and started going counterclockwise. The hands of the clocks do blend in somewhat but they are shinier than the rest of the clock so we can definitely tell what time it is. And because they blend in so beautifully with the clock, I wouldn't change a thing.

This is a really nice looking clock which keeps good time. There is a motor which make the gears turn for a very nice effect. Unfortunately, the bearings for the gears started squealing after only 4 weeks, forcing me to remove the batteries. Although the gears aren't necessary for the clock to operate, i miss that rather nice effect. Also, the black hand against a black background are a little difficult to read.

I have industrial/mid century living room and I found this clock online. Hoped it would work for me. IT DOES! Yes, I’m really enjoying it. Their is some soft noise with the gears. That hasn’t bothered me but it could bother some. With the Roman numerals I’ve had to pause a second to think of the time. That’s not the clocks fault though, I had a digital clock there for years. That may have been a tough easier to read but this clock is much more fun. So far, totally accurate. Which I’d say makes it definitely a keeper.

The media could not be loaded. I think this clock was around $80 and I honestly think I would have returned it even if it wasn’t properly assembled. It’s not an $80 clock. I think somewhere in the range of 45-55 would be more appropriate. But that’s not even the biggest issue. My clock came with a screw that wasn’t even installed and when I tried to screw it in I found that there was not even a pre drilled hole. Also the minute hand was basically dropping for lack of better words. So when it spins it hits the gears. The clock looks beautiful but you can tell it’s on the cheaper side when you open the box. The gears are made of plastic and the outer part of the circle is wood. Which is perfectly fine but not for the price. However if the paint was done better it could be more believable that it’s made out of metal but I just didn’t get that when I looked at it. I’m very disappointed because I did think it was beautiful. This item I definitely should have read reviews. I figured it was a safe purchase because of what I was paying for it. Hopefully everyone has a better luck than I did.

This is the noisiest clock I have ever owned. It looks nice, but between the noise of the gears turning and the difficulty of telling the time because the gears camouflage the hands, it's not one of my best purchases.

We got this because of how unique it was that it had gears that actually move. It's a perfect piece for our living room, be prepared for a little noise Because of the moving gears it does make some "white noise", it's not bad though. Also be aware when purchasing this, because of the way it's packaged. The manufacturer packaging doesn't protect the item so well, there are small screws that attach the main unit to the backing. If there's a lot of heavy back to front shifting, the attachment screws will pull out. We had to return one and get a replacement because of this issue. The replacement came quick and was fine.

The clock is beautiful, however, the letters are black & the hands are black, making it very difficult to be able to read the clock. I wouldn’t purchase again. I even put fluorescent paint on the hands, but you can only see during the day.
Very good for the price
Yes it is not real wood and hands are flimsy, but overall and for that price it is a really nice clock that works very well (time is accurate) and gives a nice look to any room.
Belle et belle
The media could not be loaded. On pourrait avoir une meilleure qualité mais pour le prix...Sinon, pas de soucis de grincement ou de bruits pour nous en dehors d'une seule fois lors du déménagement. J'ai redressé les aiguilles un peu fragiles, une nouvelle pile, posée bien droite et fini...En pleine journée le bruit est quasiment imperceptible bien que si on se concentre on entend le petit ronronnement mecanique (voir vidéo). J'entends plus ma machine à laver au rez de chaussé que les rouages.Bref, on l'aime cette horloge.

Da vicino si vede che è di legno compensato ma a distanza fa davvero una bella figura, ha due scomparti con batterie differenti, una per le lancette e l'altra per il movimento di ingranaggi a vista, molto elegante

Eine besondere Wanduhr
Bin begeistert von dieser Uhr. Dadurch, dass das Ziffernblatt durchbrochen ist, wirkt die Uhr auch nicht so mächtig an der Wand. Laufgeräusche des Motors für den Antrieb der Zahnräder ist etwas zu hören. Nach ca. 1Woche begannen die Zahnräder etwas zu quietschen, das konnte ich aber relativ schnell mit einem SilikonÖl-Spray, das ich vorsichtig auf die Achsen der Zahnräder aufgebracht habe, beseitigen. Ich würde die Uhr jederzeit wieder kaufen.
