Note: RAID is not supported. The RAID in INTEL only applies to raw SATA. It is an expansion card that cannot support third-party chips.
Speed description information:
1. Use SATA3.0 data cable to achieve the best results.
(We recommend using this SATA 3.0 card in the PCIE3.0 slot to get the fastest speed.)
2. PCI-E requires a slot above V2.0. For V1.0, the speed will not exceed 250M.
3. Motherboard BOIS setting: SATA mode should be changed to AHCI.
Although some motherboards are PCIE 2.0 version, BOIS does not enable gen2 high-speed mode by default and needs to be turned on manually.
The fastest speed of PCI-E 2.0 is 380-450 m/s.
Different computer configurations and SATA SSDs have different speeds.

Initially, I thought there was an issue because sometimes the hard drives would disconnect. However, after talking with the seller they were able to figure out my issue immediately with almost no information. I was very surprised by their knowledge! For anyone connecting a bunch of hard drives together, make sure they have adequate power, I had connected multiple power splitters together and this resulted in the voltage to the drives being too low. The product works great and I was very impressed by the knowledge of the seller.

When running a 5 drive raid 0 the performance for this sata controller is simply horrible. its even in a pcie 4.0 slot, and i rarely get more than 150MBs

If you're like me and have been adding hard drives over time, be warned! When I plugged in two JBOD cards from the same manufacturer, my computer failed to POST!It did work with just (either) one plugged in, but that's not a reasonable restriction for cards this expensive

Slow Boot Times :(I installed this, it kinda worked but it took forever for the system (Win 7) to boot (3 minutes).Also took a while for all the drives to show up. I have 8 SSDs running off of this.No, I'm not running the OS off of this card, the OS is running directly off the motherboard. This card is strictly for media/storage. The SSD with my VMs is also connected directly to the motherboard.Get a PCIE 4x card using ASM1166+JMB575 Chips. It reduced my boot time to 39 seconds.

great value for the Price. have had it in a unit for 4-5 weeks running 24-7 . not ever hot or has it caused any throttling of data. it remains at top speed of my drives averaging 248mb/s on a raid 5 connection of 4- 14tb drives, and 6- 8tb EXOS Hd's. No issues at all.

Nachdem mich die ziemlich schwachbrüstigen SATA Ports des frisch montierten Aufrüstmainboards ASUS ROG Strix Z690-F Gaming WiFi im Stich gelassen haben ( -->Rezension), und ich mich nicht dem Vorwurf aussetzen wollte, ich hätte durch die Montage (Ausbau zur Reklamation) diese selbst zerkratzt (schon erlebt), war dieses Teil die letzte Rettung, Das es sich auch um 6 GB/s Ports handelt, hoffe ich, dass es nur einen geringen Perfomance-Verlust geben wird. Alle angeschlossenen Festplatten werden erkannt und angesprochen. Was will ich mehr!
Great product and does exactly what i needed it to do
Very simple to install. I used my last PCI lanes when I installed a third m.2 card. This meant I could not read my SSD drives. Bought this plugged in my SSD x 2 and HDD x 2 computer rebooted and went into BIOS, set itself up. Rebooted and voila all my drives back.Very simple to use. It does slow down the read and write however I only need the others for backup. Great Product

Great bit of kit
All 11 hdd found in TrueNAS V12 but after days of testing I'm getting io errors. I've now change the card for a sas card with no error after 2 days of testing so far.
