The 12 jars are made of thick, heavy glass and came well protected through polystyrene padding that maintained separation between the glass. No damage to the jars and all the lids and seals were in perfect shape.

A lot of jars seem to be very thin nowadays, but these have a good thickness to the glass. It was cheap so that's very nice, especially when somebody breaks one like my wife. Great jars but not packed super well. 1 was shattered and glass was everywhere. The other 11 were fine so I didn’t return.

Warning, if you ferment and you use the glass weights for wide mouth the openings on these are just slightly too small and they will not fit inside! Great jars besides this .. so I’ll keep them but I have to find new way to weigh my veggies down!

I used a stainless steel spoon to stir product inside the jar. Within 15 rotations of the spoon inside the jar, the jar cracked, and all the continents spilled onto my countertop and floor. My fairly new Ball jar weighs approximately 15.5 ounces. These jars weigh approximately 14 ounces. Obviously, this jar does not have the same glass thickness as the traditional Ball jar.
