I bought this for an emergency in case lights shut off. I have my generator. I’ve hooked it up to. It turns on works really good. It does take a while to cool down after you disconnect it but other than that, it heats up excellent

I was initially skeptical about getting this hotplate burner because some reviewers mentioned that it shuts off randomly. However, after trying it myself, I realized that's actually how it's intended to work. It cycles on and off to maintain the set temperature. It turns off once it reaches the desired heat setting but retains the heat efficiently. Then, when the temperature drops slightly, it turns back on to reach the same heat setting again. This feature works phenomenally, ensuring steady cooking without overheating. Plus, it's affordable and does the job well. If you're on the fence, I highly recommend giving it a try.

Good design and delivers consistent heat at a fraction of the cost of using a stovetop. I use it to simmer all day and it is perfect for that. The cast iron elements are slow to come to temperature but because they retain heat so well they don’t require a lot of current to do a better job than my stove.As noted in other reviews the knobs have some slop in them but I just split the backlash and I get very consistent delivery of heat.The burners are cast iron which I like a lot but spillage doesn’t clean off as well as I’d like. That I believe is the nature of the beast. It wipes up well but leaves a little discoloration.

That's what she said.What she also said was that this little 2 burner unit is perfect for cooking ANYTHING. We are a family of two, but i still cook meals almost every night.I found that boiling water took relatively the same time as when we had a stove top. Other reviews said it took a long time to boil water, but that was not the case for us. Heating is even on both burners and the controls are very easy to use.This 2 burner unit has allowed us to save the immediate expense of replacing our broken oven. I honestly don't plan on getting a new oven until we sell the place. This little burner unit is perfect.

Very convenient next to the sink, takes a load off the stove. Temperature control is pretty accurate. Really easy to clean and wipe down, check the cord for heat while using very pleased to find out the cord does not get hot. 3 cups of water six minutes to boil stainless steel 1 quart pan with a lid on. This little burner would be great for camping if you have shore power or small generator. 2K watt.

This works ok. It takes awhile to get hot. My biggest complaint is that you might as well get a single burned unless you have tiny pans. I have yet been able to use both burners at the same time so it's kinda a waste of extra space.

I bought this because our glass cooktop went on the fritz. This little two burner counter stove is super great. Love the way it heats, and I can use any of my pans in it. Small so it doesn’t take up a lot of space. Great value for the money.

It heats up fast and well. It’s small so easy to carry around and use where ever an outlet is. Easy to keep and very simple to use. I do recommend to others, I’m sure you could cook small portions on this stove top as well.
