Realizing the importance of hydration and trying to cut down on soda (even the sugar free) I bought these thinking it would help me drink more water. Initially, the taste is as you would expect, like flat gingerale. Once you get past that, it is really good. I have to say that I'm hooked on them now! The ginger flavor is smooth and comforting. Zero sugar but very sweet I use either 1/2 pack in 12oz. water or full pack in 32 oz.

Slightly harder to dissolve sometimes, so recommend just getting a little quick mixer with only about a third or less of water to concentrate it, and then add the rest. Both me and my wife enjoy it carbonated with the sodastream, better than flat. Ironically the aw root beer version, seems to taste just as good either way. This is an advantage from buying a can too.. just look up soda can linings linings.

this is great in combination with a sodastream or whatever seltzer maker. takes a bit for the powder to dissolve since you can't shake it, but it really elevates this product.for those on here talking about it lacking the ginger "kick" you are probably missing the carbonation. with the right ratio this tastes pretty much exactly like diet ginger ale.

I would like to say two reminders that I hope will help others.The first is about dissolution.I think this is easy to dissolve in water. The key is to take the right steps: First pour the powder into an empty cup - add a little cold water - shake the cup or stir until completely dissolved - and then add more ice/water.Make it more like real ginger ale: Sparkling water is very healthy, but it is hard to drink (bad taste). Trying with this to taste, it will become more like a real original drink. I could not tolerate the maltodextrin in these dry drink mixes. The side effects were terrible. The bottled version does not have maltodextrin listed in the ingredients. I blame myself because I didn't inspect the list of ingredients before buying. The taste isn't bad, but doesn't have the sharp ginger flavor of the bottled version.

I didn't think I would like this, but I do. It tastes just like ginger ale without the calories, caffeine or sugar.My only caution is use just a tiny bit at first and taste it - a little goes a LONG way. I can get 3-4 regular portions out of just one packet, they are that strong.
