5.0 out of 5 stars Works great on the Ducky Shine 7
# Good Keycaps at a Great PriceAt first I was hesitant about these keycaps as Ducky factory caps are known for good quality and cost 2x as much. After installing the Womier keycaps I'm impressed!## Pros:- Overall quality is mostly comparable- Darker spots under the shine-thru slightly better than my particular Ducky OEM set. This is a common issue with shine-thru keycaps given manufacturing limitations.- Slightly more textured tops but the difference is subtle.- Sound quality is similar to the original caps (using MX blue switches here) EXCEPT for the spacebar which makes a ping-like noise not entirely unlike softly clanking two red bricks together.- Identical OEM key shape/profile to original- Tight fit on the stems -- these ain't gonna pop off- A conservative business-like font instead of the quasi-stenciled industrial/military gamer-aesthetic dystopia font favored by some manufactures. This may or may not be a plus. Personally I'm too old for that stuff.## Cons:- Removal requires significant force due to tight fit. Perhaps a plus but I had to correct some installation mistakes and thought I might rip the stems out! Might be a lack of experience talking here and there's nothing to worry about.- White-topped spacebar plainly shows imperfections (casting flash and support ribs visible in the stray glow). I switched to the [included] black-top spacebar and all is well.## Additional Notes:- The black-topped pudding set includes a handful of white top 'bonus' caps for strategic locations- The entire set including the white caps fit the US ANSI Shine 7- White backspace and enter keys are slightly taller (1mm or less) aiding in location by feel- White Esc and spacebar keys have noticeable stray glow through their tops; I switched these to black-topped- Looking closely at their construction these do appear slightly thinner and the 'stem sockets' are a bit less beefy. In practice I don't think it matters.- Ducky double wire loop key puller is vastly superior to the Womier-supplied plastic 'claw.' In fact, my keyboard doesn't have enough clearance for the claw and using it here borders on physical abuse as insertion bends the cap skirts. Beware if you don't already own a good puller.- If, for some reason, you need to use the keyboard with no RGB backlighting the white-topped key markings are more visible with higher contrast.Overall, these Womier keycaps offer excellent value with only minor imperfections. This was $15 I didn't need to spend but I'm happy I did! Five stars!
5.0 out of 5 stars Love these keycapz
So far these keycaps light up perfectly with my GMK keyboard. They are very smooth and good decent quality, the size is perfect for any gmk keyboard. If you’re looking for a on-budget keycaps I’d definitely choose these just because it fits well with the aesthetics of white/black keyboard styles. I personally love mines and love my purchase so thx!!
4.0 out of 5 stars Didn't come with all the keys I needed - but that's my fault
I ordered this for a Corsair K68 - taking a chance that they might work even though that model isn't listed. Turns out I was missing a single-width key for the windows context menu (so I used a spare "0" key), and none of the supplied space bar caps would fit the K68 (some were too wide, some too narrow) - so I used the original - which is fine. The original key caps that came with the Corsair would just pop off randomly - they were barely attached - so one clumsy pass with a vacuum cleaner and two of the key caps were sucked off - AND I was getting tired of chasing down key caps that would pop off and skitter across my desk at odd times. These XVX key caps fit snugly and when they are lit, they look pretty good. Be aware, however, that they are NOT EASY TO READ if the keyboard lighting is not active. Overall, I think they're a good deal for the price.
5.0 out of 5 stars Blown Away
These keycaps are top notch and I am blown away that you get 165 keycaps for $15.00 with 10% off. Its a crazy deal. These keycaps are high quality and feel fantastic to type on. The shine through is amazing all the way around.I cant stop looking at my keyboard as they are so beautiful. 100% worth the money and I will buy again. My main board is two colors of purple so the keycaps being white match amazingly. Dont hesistate to buy these.
5.0 out of 5 stars More durable than the default Corsair keycaps
So my strafe RGB MK.2 has notoriously bad keycaps so I needed a replacement. Happy to say even though the silkscreen is a little different, the caps finish functions better than the OEM keycaps. Additionally since the sides are not silkscreened, you get more RGB coming through which is pretty nice. For the price, and speed of the delivery it was well worth it.The only downside I can find is the included spacebars did not fit the Corsair Strafe, but that being said there's 104 keys, 1 doesn't fit, that's still 103% that fit. 5 stars.
3.0 out of 5 stars They look fantastic but the spacebar is really bad
These keycaps are absolutely beautiful. They let through so much light. They also feel really good to touch. They basically feel like the OEM keycaps on most razer keyboards. But the spacebar is sooooo bad. It's extremely echoey and doesn't sit on the switch or stabilizers very well so it feels rickety and clacky. I'm using these on a Razer Blackwidow V3 and I just decided to keep the space bar stock. They give you like different space bars and they're all really bad. Also some of the sub legends don't let much light through. For example on the "9" key on the NumPad the "9" symbol is very bright and easy to see but the "PgUp" symbol doesn't let much light through at all. So it's a little hard to see. But that's a really small complaint and you might even consider that a feature if you don't want to see the sub legends.I think I would still recommend these because of the really good price but probably not if you're going for a silent keyboard. They're thin so they don't isolate sound at all. But they look fantastic. Seriously. Even a keyboard like my Blackwidow v3 which doesn't have particularly bright LEDs looks extremely bright with these. Keyboard with south facing LEDs look even better
Almost perfect
I love it very much!I was worried about how visible the letters would be on white letters, so I tested with the worse possible conditions: white LEDs in a well-lit room. The first picture shows the result: the lettering is very clear. Impressive!Using rainbow (or any other theme), especially in a dark, is absolutely GORGEOUS!I also like how the main characters are very bright while their secondary functions are much dimmer. See the orange numpad picture. This is due to my LEDs being north facing, however, so be aware of your keyboard.Downside:While the set comes with many key alternatives, including different symbols and sizes, it does not cover the Corsair K70 m2 perfectly. First, none of the space bars provided fit at all. yuiSecond, only the windows key with the "Win" lettering fits, not the one with an actual Windows symbol. Third, the "right click" key does not fit, the closest I could find being a "Fn" key. Finally, if your LEDs are south facing, I would NOT recommend these keys.
Are pudding keycaps for you?
First image is the Pudding Key caps listed here. 2nd is another set of keycaps by REUT.I'm just getting into the hobby of mechanical keyboards again after seeing how many options there are for keycaps and so I tried a number of them. These pudding keycaps are great IF you have a nice RGB keyboard and game in a dark room or at night or without a window. For me though, I bought a (relatively nice) keyboard for 20$ here on Bolo and popped these switches on but they were rainbow and the colors were inconsistent. For the keys themselves, I don't think you can buy any better without paying much more - the lettering is clear, crisp, etc. The lighting is bright which is just meh during the day time but in a darker room it looks great - like you're a serious gamer.A little too much for me but IF you want pudding (the translucent keycaps so light shines through), BUY these - they are great.
A note for anyone with an alice style keyboard
For what you get, it's great. It gave me 99% of the keys I needed for my Alice keyboard. I just forgot to check whether this set had an extra B key but I was able to just repurpose it with a spare. I did really appreciate that there were several space keys included as it's been really hard to find.
