5.0 out of 5 stars Very easy to use!
I tried a laser comb but it was a pain to use. I just received the irestore & was pleased to see how easy it was to set up & use. I just put it on & plugged it in & 25 minutes passed very quickly. Nice warm feeling. Too soon to tell how well it works but I’ve bn wanting one of these for years & I’m glad I finally took the plunge!
5.0 out of 5 stars Still early on but great so far
I bought the iRestore Laser Hair System to support hair growth after my FUE procedure. I had previously tried a different laser cap, but its battery stopped working within a few months, and it wasn’t very comfortable to wear. The iRestore system is a huge improvement — not only does it feel much higher in quality in terms of look and build, but it's also significantly more comfortable. While I'm only a few weeks in and haven’t seen major results yet, I’m confident that with time, I'll start noticing progress. Looking forward to sticking with it for the long-term!
4.0 out of 5 stars iRestore Pro
I am a male, mid-thirties, experiencing early stage androgenic alopecia. This product was shipped to me as described and in full working order approximately 7 weeks ago. I refrained from writing a review until now because I wanted to use the product first and describe my initial experience. During the first 3-4 weeks of use, I noticed a significant increase in hair shedding above baseline--this is considered normal as the red light therapy is believed to encourage new hair growth resulting in telogen effluvium. For the last 3 weeks, I noticed a marked reduction in hair fall, which has been a relief. I have also recently noticed some new smaller hairs popping in around my temples and frontal hairline. I will continue to use the product as instructed (once, every other day) with the hopes of seeing significant improvement at the 6 month mark.
5.0 out of 5 stars Red light therapy
I've done some research on the benefits of red light therapy and I'm so excited to try this device out. It's so embarrassing to have thinning hair in my mid 30s, I'm hoping to regain my confidence.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excited to get started!
This was delivered overnight so I was anxious to try it out. Super easy to set up & it fits my head just fine, although they do offer other size foam pads which need to be ordered. I scanned the QR code to activate the 2 year warranty & was contacted immediately by customer service to see if I was interested in upgrading the warranty. I’m not but they are quick to respond by a real person.I’ll update this review once I have some experience using & hoping to see positive results.
5.0 out of 5 stars The product comes as advertised and easy to use
Received the product yesterday and used it once. It is easy to use and so far as advertised. I am waiting to see the results in next couple of months.
5.0 out of 5 stars So far so good
Just received this product, so far so good. May report back if I notice some effects.
4.0 out of 5 stars Very Expensive for something which runs rather hot, looks dorky and might not work at all.
Since hair can fall out if the heat is too hot... kind of makes you wonder why they didn't build a small rotary fan that is designed to be built right into the helmet. There are slits on the top as if the heat might go out that way; but they are just teeny slits; which basically do nothing to actually vent any heat. How hot does it get after 25 minutes? Afterwards it is definitely 'warm'.It is so warm, I would probably recommend that one do it in three incremental tries instead of one 25 minute session. You can do that by holding down the ON/OFF for about 5 seconds and it will cancel the 25 minute session.Three 8 minute sessions would, most-likely, be healthier for your hair than one 25 minute heat session....Dorkiness scale.I went cross-country by bicycle. And, on my second trip I wore a nice not-dorky-looking helmet all the way.Why did they have to make this thing sit on your head as if it were a big wienie beanie? Did they even think about what it would look like on your head before they finalized the design into plastic?...Comfort.At first, I found the gray, springy, puff-like things to press on my forehead in an annoying way; but as I used it... now it doesn't seem as bad as it did at the beginning.Does it work? There is the main question and I have only used it a week, so far; so can't tell you anything about that aspect of it. However, from a video I saw on YouTube, the guy used it, faithfully, every-other day, for 6 months. He took day-by-day shots of his head as it progressed. Shaved his head, even. After 6 months? No appreciable change.So. The question has to be asked is this just a high-priced rich person's scam?I will be using it, every day, and will do exactly as they say. In fact, I figure; if it works every other day - why not every day.So far I have been using it the full 25 minute session; but because of the problem with it feeling hot afterwards? I will probably change to doing it in three sessions of 8 minutes, instead. My life has proven that I stick to things even though they might be a hard day-by-day thing to do; so there will be no question that I won't do it. However, will it actually do anything?...So, consider before you buy this helmet. Research YouTube videos.I chose this one because it, not-only, had 82 laser diodes but also had another 200 Laser LED diodes. The Pro version of the Theradome has 80 laser diodes and no LED diodes.
Superb customer service and quality product, the result will yet come
I just started using irestore professional cap 2 weeks ago so I don't know if it works for me yet. The picture is my thinning hair taken a week ago. Many companies sell similar laser caps, but I decided to purchase irestore cap because of their 6 month return policy (one year if you purchase through their website). Their top notch customer service gives me peace of mind that they will help me with any problems I may encounter as well.It is very easy to use and easy to keep up with as you just put it on your head every other day. I was a bit worried that hair shedding would increase during the first month or two, but that has not been the case for me so far. I will report back in several months !
Finally got the laxer helmet
I will be sharing my results on how my hair growth experiences as time goes on. I’ve been slowly losing my hair on my crown temples and now to part of hair is thinning. I’ve tried so many hair products but I was always thinking of the laser helmet . For all the $ spent on various products, I could have bought 5 plus lazer helmets. It was packaged well the helmet itself is very impressive and well made. I’m thrilled to have finally gotten one and looking forward to new regrown hair
Positive Results
I purchased the iRestore Professional helmet almost 2 years ago. I have female pattern hairloss (FPHL) and thinning hair that has increased since menopause. I did a great deal of research before deciding to spend this amount of money on a device that made claims to help with hair loss. For me, there was adequate research showing that red light therapy can help with thinning hair and I was specifically looking for a device with a wavelength of 650 nm -- the iRestore Professional has 655 nm. Also, I contacted the iRestore company to ensure that I could get the company's 12 month money back guarantee (not just the Bolo's return policy) before purchasing, in the event I didn't like the device or didn't see results, which the company agreed to.So after 2 years what are my thoughts? The device has worked as it should since day 1, with zero issues. The comfort of the helmet is quite good, but I sometimes need to readjust it when I first put it on. Having said that, sometimes I forget to take it off, so that speaks to its level of comfort. You do have to sit with a blinking helmet on your head, which looks a bit ridiculous, so this is something to consider. I use my iRestore helmet consistently, every second day, as recommended, so you should take into account whether or not you are someone who follows routines. Previous to the helmet I used a laser comb, and the helmet is by far much easier to use.The results? I have experienced, and continue to experience, new hair growth along my temples, but little to none down the center of my scalp. I also started taking saw palmetto around the same time as I began using the iRestore helmet, so it is difficult to say if the hair growth along my temples is solely due to the helmet, the saw palmeto or both. Although some may see results with just the iRestore helmet or just saw palmetto, after years of attempting to solve my hair loss issues, it is my belief that multiple interventions are the best approach to slowing down my hair loss. I will continue to use my iRestore helmet and would recommend the helmet if you are a person who follows routines consistently. But it is important to be realistic in your expectations of what red light therapy can do for your hair loss.
I've lost 50% of my hair volume in the 11-months of use.
Since received this 11 months ago, I have tried numerous times to contact I-Restore just to register my unit but have not been able to reach them. Now that I have lost 50% of my hair since using this, I want to return it but see that the window closed last March 2022 even though they say there is a 12-month trial period. They said to expect some hair shedding in the beginning, but 11 months in and hair is still shedding. I used to put my hair in a ponytail and wrap the elastic twice and it stayed; now I have to wrap four times. Also, I used to clean out my hair brush once or twice a week, now I have to do it twice a day or more. I can't tell you how many times I have clogged the shower drain. The majority of my hair was quite thick but I had thin points at the top left and right 'corners'. Now everywhere is thin but I have to be honest and say that there is actually very very fine short (brittle) hair in the thin 'corners' but you can hardly see them, only feel them, and they don't grow longer than 1/4" to 1/2" before they fall out again. I would definitely like to have my beautiful thick hair back and just pencil in the spaces like I used to before trying this 'experiment', which, for me, was a major fail.During this whole 'experiment', I was also taking supplements to ensure good results. Should have saved my money on all fronts. Very disappointed in this product. It's also very uncomfortable to wear. If I use the front pad, I am left with a huge dent in my forehead that lasts an hour so I removed the pad and have to wear the helmet sideways for it to stay on my head but still have to hold it in place. Very awkward to use.
